QUOTE(dexmah @ Jul 7 2010, 05:13 PM) can we really cut our sim card to the size of the micro sim card to support for iphone4? it works, already did it preparing for my i4 to arrive this 17th..but u need to cut it with the exact size. QUOTE(huikin @ Jul 7 2010, 09:43 PM) rumours about iPhone4 having a few problem n some even said that they might jz skip this latest phone and remain using their 3GS then wait for the next gen, and there are reviews rated that 3GS is one among the most "powerful" phone. what is ur opinion le? wut prob are u refering to? is it the antenna prob? my friend already got his i4 n test to hold the phone in the "forbidden way" if u know wut i mean and there is no prob at all in terms of hardware, the i4 definitely tops i3GS, for example the RAM where i3GS = 256MB while i4 = 512MB and also i4 uses the exact same chip as ipad This post has been edited by ronramka: Jul 7 2010, 10:02 PM

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ Aug 4 2010, 12:38 AM) i bought a microsim adapter for rm15. it comes with a sticker that you can stick to your current sim and on the sticker, it has the dotted lines to guide you exactly where to cut. Just follow it and you're fine. Same here.. Bought it for rm15 just stick the sticker with dotted line n just cut the sim n slot it in my i4..

I realized recently that I have not seen the 3G signal sign on my Iphone 4 before despite me being in the heart of Damansara where there's suppose to have 3G coverage doing surfing etc. I googled out for similar scenario and then found out that we may have to set the APN to use 3G for digi. I created a profile that sets the APN to diginet and loaded into my phone and rebooted my phone but nothing changes. tried several times too. Then I thought it could be my SIM card could be the culprit, thinking that we need a 3G sim card or something. My SIM card was changed about 3 years ago, so not sure if it will work with 3G service. But then I stumbled upon this Support FAQ page in DIGI website (http://www.digi.com.my/internet/3g/support_faqs.html). From the answers given, it seems that it's not dependent on SIM card and the APN setting would be defaulted to diginet if I dont set anything. so in short it should be automatic and working. Any of you has idea on why mine doesn't work? Really sad coz already subscribed for the Unlimited 58 plan but can't use 3G Please help DIGI SUPPORT FAQ Q3. Do I need a new SIM card or USIM in order to access 3G services?
a. No, there’s no action required from your end to start enjoying 3G services. You will need a 3G handset though.
Q6. I do not have the right settings on my phone, would I be able to access the Internet?
a. Yes, you will be able to access the Internet even though you do not have the correct settings on your phone. DiGi has an advanced feature that allow our subscribers to connect to the Internet although they do not have the correct settings. This is to remove the barrier from accessing the Internet as well as to improve our customer experience. If you are detected to not have any of our valid APNs namely diginet, digiwap, digistrm OR digimms, you will be defaulted to the diginet APN. Hence you will be allowed to access the Internet automatically. b. If you do not wish to have the Internet or data services at all for your mobile number, you may call in to our Customer Service hotline to request for deactivation. Alternatively, you can replace your browsing APN to digimms. You may refer to Q5 in Known Issues FAQs below. no issue on my iphone 4 bro, using digi50 plan n subscribe the 58 data plan, just slot in my trimmed micro sim n walaaa...got the 3G signal... no need to setup any APN since all will be configured automatically.

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ Aug 5 2010, 11:13 PM) same here. been cracking my head to find out why and tried out many ways taught online, such as wiping your sim card, rebooting the phone twice, resetting the network settings. all has no effect. will try to restore my iphone to see if it helps. if still the same, then probably upgrade to 4.0.1 n try. anyhow, will pay a visit to DIGI centre tomorrow and ask too i bet they'll say, still not compatible yet with iphone 4

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ Aug 6 2010, 09:01 PM) went to Digi Centre today. Waited 30 mins before was served. The CS was checking my phone's settings. then he asked when i subscribe to the data plan. i told him last friday and sunday was activated and can use. He then ask if i can surf the net. i said yes, but very very slow and never got beyond 70kbps. after that, he brought to a more senior colleague. after a while, he came back, told me Digi now doesn't support the iphone 4 yet. I told him that's ridiculous because the 3GS also can use the same OS of iOS4.0 and shouldn't be any different in terms of the settings. I then tell him to bring one of their iphone 3GS to test with my Sim card. After that he said ok, no need to take out sim card yet and he'll try re-register me in the system for the plan as was also proposed by his senior just now. after seconds later, the phone was displaying the 3G icon already. Issue solved, tested with speedtest app and was getting 1Mbps already. Finally i asked him, "so it's not the phone problem right?" He said, yes it's not because of the phone, it's their system. So guys here who can't get DIGI 3G on their iphone 4, i suggest you go and ask them to re-register your number for the plan. Darn system give ppl trouble and waste time only. said already kan want to save their own bontot so they use that kind of answer la but we r not stupid but good for you the issue already solved
