Hmm, according to Digi, the iPhone 4 will be launched next week. Here's an email I got from them about 1-2 days ago:

Is it me or are the Digi plans a little hard to understand? Say I opt for the Digi 238 plan. How much do I actually pay for the phone? RM 290 or RM 2,090?

RM 58 is if you use auto-billing if I'm not mistaken. Correct if I'm wrong.

I think Digi's aim is not so much on providing the user with a cheaper iPhone, but more of a cheaper bill at the end of the month. smile.gif

No matter which network you choose, more important than the plan price and phone price is the TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP (TCO).

No matter how you look at it, DiGi is still offering a better deal than Maxis...not by far, but still better.

If I were to summarize the plans in a two words, i'd say that Maxis' plan is CALL CENTRIC and DiGi's plan is DATA CENTRIC.
*
I think that both Maxis and Digi plans have their pros and cons.

Digi offers a superior data package whereas their network coverage is pretty crappy compared to Maxis.

Maxis offers crappy internet package but their coverage is much better than Digi's.

And the list goes on...

You get the benefits on paying a lower fees than Maxis for the rest of the contract.
*
As an iPhone user already, yes, we do. As someone who wants to buy a brand new iPhone 4, don't expect to get it for much cheaper at Digi.

bro... suggest me some:

i need ip4 16gb.. which one u think fit me most?

maxis or digi?
*
We don't know you, bro. You have to tell us a little more. tongue.gif

But to sum it up, Digi offers a superior plan in terms of savings. You definitely save more in your monthly bill if you go Digi. If you go Maxis, you'll be saving more when it comes to buying the phone. As for your monthly bill, it will most probably be higher than if you went for Digi's plan. smile.gif

Questions:
Free voice minutes, SMS and MMS are only applicable to Malaysian mobile networks.
Free voice minutes do not include calls to International / IDD numbers or 1-800 / 1-300 numbers.

Digi voice is only applicable to mobile? If i call land line i will be charged?
*
It does say "mobile" networks, so I'm guessing you do get charged when you call land lines.

Hi. a question here. when i type *128# in my iphone4, it stated your oustanding billed is RM0 and your unbilled amount is RM3.29.

what does it mean? i took idigi 63 plan yesterday.
*
Outstanding amount is basically the extra amount you spend, on top of what's been allowed in the plan.

Your unbilled amount (a.k.a. your current usage) is the amount that you have to pay, but hasn't been billed to you yet.

i read frm somewhere tat if u wan to use ur micro sim on another phone.. temporary use cellotape to stick on it, so tat d micro sim will nt slide or move on normal phone sim slot.
*
Never heard of that one. yawn.gif

I know that there's a SIM adapter you can get for about RM 10-25. What that basically is is a piece of plastic in the standard SIM card size. There will be a cutout for a micro SIM, so what you do is just place the micro SIM inside the cutout and it works.
