wonder what will digi do with the trade in phones

unless Apple wants em back

one thing bugging me is the warranty

yes digi can renew the warranty to 12 months

but apple won't (i think)

the 1st time iPhone activated through iTunes

it will register the date automatically as the starting date for the 12 months warranty

this is what the digi salesperson told me when they needed to open my iphone box

its for serial number verification, warranty purpose, blah blah

so what u meant is

if i buy an iphone, i don't activate the iphone, don't use the iphone for whole 1 year

the seller (DiGi, maxis) will register our iPhone serial number online!?

register our iphone without have to activate through itunes 1st?

i suggest u wait for iPhone 4, then again, its ultimately ur decision

by the time iPhone 4 launch here, no more 3GS 16GB & 32GB, both capacity replaced by iPhone 4

only the 3GS 8GB version will be available


agreed..most likely, iPhone 4 will be priced same as the iPhone 3G & 3GS initially launched

RRP only goes high enough to RM2990 (phone only w/out contract)

means we can revise the 2 years contract

terminate the current 3GS contract, create a new contract of iPhone 4 contract + phone

but not trade-in our 3gs phones (luckily i sold mine)

different is that, u no need to pay the remaining 3gs contract

let say, u still tie up another 1 year, by singing up new contract, it'll make it to 3 years

the iphone 4 price is still have to be paid, regardless of new, revise contract

telco never intended to gain profit from the sales of iphones, i mean a big profit that is

they just wanna tie us up to a contract, keeping us on their network

while subsidizing the iphone price, reducing their profit on the phone

if u do the calculation

you do save up to rm2++ with the new digi plan

taken into credit, u have to use the iphone & pay the contract full 24 month

then u'll save RM2++

errr shouldnt digi send u a sms that ur current usage exceeded ur credit limit!?

coz for those ppl, wifi access is available everywhere (at their work place & place they usually hangs out)

except when u driving u car la (which is absurd to surf the net while driving)

so, its kinda waste to subscribe data plan with service provider

once iPhone 4 launched, 3GS will still be available

but only for 8GB capacity

16GB & 32GB will be replaced by iPhone 4

nope, just pay the plan accordingly

u'll get the unlimited internet & those free calls + sms

no need to subscribe any internet package

digi network coverage is ok

data coverage sucks though

or port-in ur number

both rebate is rm100 each, but u can only take either 1, cant both (trade-in OR MNP)

the rm100 savings will be given in the form of a rebate in your second postpaid bill in November, provided the customer successfully completes the port-in to DiGi

best thing is customers that choose to port-in will be given their iPhone 4 immediately on the same day

btw, this promotion only available on 25 & 26 Sept (today & 2moro only)

should be clear few hours or a day at most

wouldnt suprise me as there's probably thousands digi units sold nationwide

thousand units sold, thousands new number to activate

just give them time, i will be activated

data aint the only concern here

SMS limitation = maxis to maxis only!

with MNP implemented

i can never tell the number that i'm SMS-ing is a maxis number, even its a 012
