sigh! the price is all the same no matter u take which plan..so why bother show "Phone price after total saving (PPATS)" ?? Should be RRP - PPATS = final price (selling price )

It's merely to highlight that they're not far off from Maxis. They're just presenting the entire plan from a different perspective.

Nah, I think if you took Maxis route, it will be just slightly expensive by RM100 but no need stucked for 2 years. Next year you will be free to upgrade to the new Iphone. Who knows if they improves again on the calls and quota, right?
*
That's assuming you take a 12 month plan. Or buy the phone without a plan...

dude.. digi doesnt offer 12 months contract..all in 24 months..
should be like this..

iDigi 88 (Noted that Digi charge 5% for using EPP, that why 1.05 is in below equation)
[(RM63 x 24 months) x 1.05] + RM2090 (for iPhone 4) = RM 3677.6

Maxis iValue 1
RM100 x 24 months + RM1390 (for iPhone 4) = RM 3890
*
I'd like to mention AGAIN...that the 5% is NOT FOR USING EPP. This 5% is SERVICE TAX which will be reflected in your bill.

Maxis will ALSO charge service tax, but they did not mention.

This SERVICE TAX is charged to ALL POSTPAID LINES.

let say i bought iphone from SG cos me Rm2000.00 then i get the RM68.00 DG smartplan, is it cheaper than the i get plan?
*
Some simple calculation.

Phone + (Plan x 24 x 1.05)

2000 + (68 x 24 x 1.05) = 3713.60.

Nope...not cheaper. tongue.gif

BUT...you can drop the plan anytime you want. No contract marr...

MNP'ed to DiGi. Now waiting for the "telco gods" to approve my MNP. Should be able to collect my unit tomorrow. Don't think I want to activate my iPhone at DiGi. They put their grubby hands all over the phone. EWWW. Will probably go put screen protector and case before I even turn it on. biggrin.gif

Oh. Forgot to mention. I signed up at the SS2 branch. I was there since 7.20am...but waiting in car...then someone decided to start the queue at 8am, so had to get out of the car lar...basket. Was in waiting/processing room at 9am, finished my stuff about 9.35am. Now at work.

At 9am, there were only about 30 people in the queue. More easygoing compared to Maxis madhouse. Hehe!

I think now total should be abt 100 in queue liao...

Went to check things out at Quill. I must say it was pretty great chillax experience unlike lining up for sevenbillionyears for a certain other telco. tongue.gif

I think DiGi was smart to serve up the phones nationwide first to deal with the first wave and first adopters. That way, the carnival is less of a madhouse.

I can't imagine this strategy to have been an easy choice especially in a boardroom discussion with upper management, so kudos to DiGi for having some balls. GOOD JOB DIGI! biggrin.gif

Added on September 25, 2010, 2:39 pmOh, another thing to note. I spoke to a guy at the outlet when I was getting my phone. He said their instructions were to serve out only 50 iPhones a day.

The number could be slightly different depending on outlet. I was at SS2.
