So all I have to do is..download the Prime95 from the first post. OC it, and run the prime95 test to stress it out for 1 hour? What happens if my oc fail when stressing?

My CPU temperature already reached 45-46 with 15-20% of CPU usage with stock speed which is 3.2GHz. Safe for me to go further?

Ok..I try change the multiplier to 17x and run the test on all 4 cores..but which option should I use? the one that uses ALOT of RAM or the one that uses the least.

I chose the Blend option. Now stressing. System going on 3.4GHz and 56-58 degree now.

So I continue on stressing and increase the multiplier later? I thought the maximum temperature is 62 degree? ><

Edit: Is it >voltage <heat?

Added on July 5, 2010, 6:55 pmStress for an hour, temperature never exceeds 59. Drop to 45-46 right after stressing. (:

I have already installed the Hyper 212 Plus fan towards the behind of the casing and installed another fan at the back to blow the hot air out. Another fan is installed at the side of the casing to blow towards the Hyper 212 Plus. All I could think of now is adding another fan on the other side of the Hyper 212 Plus making it dual fan.

Push and pull means u use 2 fans on the hsf @ front & back, one pushing air & one pulling the air.. smile.gif
*
Oic..means I put dual fan lo lol..

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Jul 6 2010, 08:50 AM)
how many exhaust fan u have there in ya case? what case ur usin actually? mind to post ss @ load w/ hwmonitor? gotta check what are d temp for all components of ya board. c3 (not all thou but i can safely say quite a no) is capable of nice figure in oc.  nod.gif
*
Should be altogether got 3 fans. 1 blowing towards the cooler from the side casing, one with the cooler blowing towards back of the casing and another one located at the back of the casing blowing hot air out. theres another psu fan but i dont think that will affect much biggrin.gif

what do you meant by c3?

I will try to change the multiplier to 18x and see the temp. If it exceeds 62, will anything happen? yawn.gif since the max for 955 is 62 degree

955be got 2 batch, one is c2 (earlier) & c3 (later). c3 offer higher mileage & lower volt @ same clock if compared to c2. 6x'C wont melt ya chip, so worry not, most likely just bsod/prime failure. u must watch out d vcore thou, coz d higher it is d hotter d mosfets will get, d ohtter d latter are, d easier they get toasted (if not actively cooled).  brows.gif
i know my drawin sucks sis, god has never been kind to me in term of art...  tongue.gif

Then how do i see whether mine is c3 or c2? if let say it bsoded, so i just go back to bios and change to my best settings without system failure?

Edit:
I've opened my casing, change its position to my desk (photos of my casing will be uploaded soon) and ran some stress test with 3.4GHz. Temperature were better than yesterday!

I think with this temp i can go around 3.6-3.8 GHz but must I keep my casing open? ><

Yeah so thats the same as the CPUID. but what i dont get is..if the system is not stable, it would have been bsod/cant bootup, but check with cpu-z i cant really find any relevance...><

I ran for 59 minutes and no errors were found...I guess the temps are low because its almost night that time. I will try to stress it again tomorrow with maybe a x19 multiplier. By the way, if it crashes it, temps are not the main reason right?

1 more thing which I always forgot to mention. On the first time I change my multiplier to x17, I bootup and went to open HWMonitor and CPUZ suddenly the pc restarts...after that nothing happens. Everything is normal...is there anything I should worry about?

try stressing it la n see if its fine. have try stressing it using the in-place large fft option, n change the option " time to run each fft size(in minutes )" from 15 to 1 minute

I ran the test. The temps are around 52-53 max. I ran it for around 5 minutes only. The temps are quite low maybe because it's raining now (: Going to 19x later!

Added on July 7, 2010, 7:55 pmI tried to go to x19. After booting to windows, opened cpu-z,hwmonitor, amd overdrive and prime95 instantly and my pc restarted..so should i increase my voltage? I guess 3.8GHz should be my last oc biggrin.gif
