it's not that hard (if what i guessed is right lah), just google xmp-2200, u'll get gskill pi for d 1st search result... pawah of google...

my fren tried again, same, top up around 1820 @ 7-8-7, 1826 can last for a while, 1840 straight fail, guess it's d wall @ such timing on older architectures. either he rents a thuban again or just contented w/ 1820. can't break d gskill flare's 1840 record by sir Louislkw...

have yet to try 8-8-8 but i doubt there'll be much improvement in term of mileage, tried 1880 bootable (@ cas 8) but nowhere near benchable, let alone prime stable.

i'm kinda tired testin d 955 on my 690g, decided to try to kill d board & chip, primin small fft @ 3.9ghz w/ 1.49v...

kurang asam... when i'm angry i do kill chips...

u should have removed d xmp-2200 sis...

all u need now is a 8xx board (& a thuban mebe), even el cheapo board like ahsos 88td-v evo /usb3 can bring d ram to another level... i mean ram mileage wise lah... cpu clock not so sure coz 955 seems to be performed not up to d standard if compared to mother of cheapskate boards in 790gx a3+.

yup bro, u'll notice when it's small fft (8-512k), cpu temp is higher than large fft (above 512k).

ibt? meh... we aint runni on intel chip bro... i did a comparison last time, ibt is slightly cooler than p95... so p95 still d ultimate stability test for amd chips. but that's just me, others mite have their own preference.

ibt doesn't stress chip all d time (hence lead to cpu usage is not @ 100% all d time) while p95 is 100% all d way until one/more workers fail.

if only i can go there to join u guys to learn one thing or 2 bout extreme oc...

trust me mate, u wouldn't want to toast those mosfets w/ an x6... u better off gettin yaself a more appropriate board for ya thuban...

oc regor, yes... oc deneb/propus, still bearable, oc thuban.... errmmm.... not d most ideal one.... d chip is overkill sittin on d board. some more 2 mosfets per phase really tell u something bout d loads it can take.

i believe 3.8/3.9GHz is achievable regardless how bad a thuban is.

u can email them for d bios update, they should provide d bios eventhou they're ledi outta desktop mainboard business. i believe thuban still can run decently on those boards eventhou they're optimized for 8xx series.

if ur gunnin for high end, by all mean go for chiv. lady gaga gaygay gigabyte 890fxt-ud5 is another option but given d price in mesia it won't make any diff w/ chiv, this makes chiv d only choice for high end market. on mid range level, u can consider biobintang 890fxe, but ppl tend to look down on it... especially those w/ thick wallets...
