Hyper 212 Plus installation

Hi, I recently bought a new rig with a Hyper 212 Plus with it. The technician which help assemble my rig put the HS in a wrong direction I suppose... It's suppose to be like this one [Link] but he installed it in the different direction. Will it affect the temperature/HS?

direction will not affects ur temp much... just choose the best clearance for this large heatsink... clearance here means ur mobo heatsink or ram... which more easy the cooler can be installed...

I changed it to the direction same as the picture. Took me a while though. I need to push the X shape thingy to the max to reach the end so that my screws could screw into the hole. I messed up a little of the cooler compound though..will it affect my CPU?

once u take out ur cooler is better for u to remove and reapply the thermal paste...
