Using iPhone to read the forum. Loves your mobile version. I really like the format. However the font (in Potrait mode) is still small. Can make it bigger please?)

For your reference: The font in landscape mode, when turning the phone, is the right size smile.gif

I vouch for this as well. Could we have a A+/A- , a simple font size changer for the mobile screen as sometimes we'll have to make the font larger. Mobile browsers generally dont offer any form of scaling to increase the font size or to decrease the font size

Today I can't read some post in the mobile version of lowyat.net.
I used search to see if someone asked for this feature.
Turn out, I've asked about this 5 years ago!!
Do you guys still plan to implement this?

I’m using iPhone 6 Plus. The font is fine. Just that my old eyes cannot see the default small font. I wish I can just do a A+ to increase font size like most Readability website.

I don’t want to zoom and then move left and right all the time just to enjoy reading the forum when changing font size should not be a hard thing to do, technically. That’s why we have the mobile theme.

LOL, maybe only you.
I find the font looks better. Not too big, not too small. Its in medium level. Quite consistent font size with my WhatsApp font size.
Admin, dont bother him. Dont change back the small fonts.

The new "layout" for mobile version is quite uncomfortable..
- report button so big?
- many fonts in thread also... too big

Any chance to "revert back" older version of the lyn forum layout?
*
As mentioned previously this is a WIP there will be many more tweaks and changes. Aside from that

1. we are not gonna create a layout just for you. We track 800-900k unique users a week. Once everything is complete, and you feel like you are still uncomfortable, start a poll and see if enough users agree with you.
2. the mobile theme is designed to suit the majority of phone users. We are testing against at least 5 popular phones with default browser settings. The font sizing etc follows the current css standards. The thread content fonts itself have not been changed - only optimized for mobile, so i don't understand your 'many fonts in thread are also too big'.

grey color theme was a simple color change that only involved some simple tweaks.

this is a complete revamp to optimize the site for viewing/posting on mobile devices. You can continue to feedback, but as i mentioned previously nothing is final yet, but at the same time we will not be reverting back to the old layout that we have been using since 2003.

Anyway, I guess I need to edit and add that having a bigger font is comfortable. Sure, I might be "old man" (hey my account was created decades ago, so I aged), but you know what. People aged. I am sure you might complained about bigger fonts now, but in a few years time, your eyes will thank me and the moderator who made this happen.

Hi, this forum https://forum.quartertothree.com/latest
(ok, it defaults was white; but if you created an id, you can change it to Solarized Dark which was superb, or Tomorrow Night which was totally black. Really nice.

Is it possible for the mobile version to have the 'Last Post by .....' as the Desktop version.
Easy to keep track if can see the 'Last Post by....'
Just the username will do.

Now it states 'updated ...'
Very confusing , always assume the thread starter update the 1st post.

Thanks.

This is definitely not bad.

Btw, have you thought about reorganizing the mobile phone section? Obviously Apple had it's own section and I think Android should become a main section by itself. These two are pretty much 99% of everything that's SMART out there. Everything else is just so dead.

I don't mean to rile people up, coz looks like I'm in the minority on wishing for a bigger mobile font. But is this something the admin plan to put back, revise the size? Or it's totally out of question now?

Statistic not required, perhaps only useful for the admins and mods. It makes the title looks awful with the bold font.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please:

Bring back the sub forums.

There was never last poster info on mobile view before (only desktop). Mobile view only had subforums list.

Will give it a try.

I'm using laptop win10, chrome v58.0.3

1. the left alignment is super left until there's no white space.

it actually making my reading experience very uncomfortable.

2. can you bring back the view new post function? i think it's useful.

Thank you for bringing back the sub-forum and ditching out the statistic.

The mobile theme is optimized for small devices. We really can't optimize it from mobile devices and also desktop. please use the desktop view for laptops.

2. View new post function? Which one is this?

I found the switch to change to desktop view and change it. The forum just change my view to mobile after the update. All the while I'm using laptop.

After change to desktop view, the 'view new posts' function is back again.

While you guys are at it, maybe make the login more mobile friendly instead leaving options to the right and remove HTTPS option both mobile and desktop since everyone runs HTTPS anyway

Love the new mobile header. Any plans for bigger mobile font ( I know it’s a controversial topic but can’t you guys do it via user-selected Themes?) so default can be small font but users like me can select a Big Font theme.
