My tmnet netbook came with a 6 cell battery. Can last up to 9-10 hrs (or mayb less) with wifi. Running on hp recommended power settings.

Got my HP Mini 110 from Unipack today.
Opened & used HP's customized Windows 7 starter edition for 30 minutes.
Got fed up with all the stinking bloatware so I decided to format the entire hard disk(yes,including the recovery partition)
Before I format the hard disk I extracted all the drivers so in case I have drivers problem I can restore the default drivers.
So I formatted with my heavily modified Windows 7 Home Premium & everything working fine now.Performance much better than what I expected from Atom based netbook.

Add 2gb ram aint give much differences. I added mine and I borrowed my mom to play some facebook flash games. It hangs!! =.= . I hardly can do my Photoshop , or Lightroom.

Best job for it is - surfing, chatting, torrent, watch movie ( if you don't mind about the small screen), read docs, presentation etc. Plant VS Zombies if you don't mind

Cannot play game lololol. The processor is bottlenecking it. Well old games can though

you still can do your Photoshop if you got alot of patience. Loading.......Processing......  hardest part is installing because it takes alot of time.

Most probably there are some files HP saved under that account folder.Admins should be able to delete normal accounts.But I don't know whether admins can delete another admins account.You can try it as no harm will occur.
As I said before it's best if you just format the entire drive to get clean HP bloatware/files free netbook.
I think you can download windows 7 installer dvd legally from some sites & activate using the HP Win7 dvd key.I'll try this confirm later on when I have time.

For browsing(Mozilla) & word processing 1GB should be fine.
Use third party software.Google for "change wallpaper in windows 7 wallpaper change".
Ubuntu is linux based operating system.
Tick the "show hidden files & folders & hide protected system files" in folder options".
Navigate to C:Uzers/<insert the username u want>/AppData
Check what apps you have there.If you have the apps installed there,you can remove the account & reinstall back under your account.
You can saving files through cross cable connection.Though I'm not sure whether starter edition do support this network connection.
My windows 7 home premium barely uses 400MB RAM on idle.600MB RAM usage happens only when I open multiple tab in Firefox.

Don't worry, your battery wont explode if you remove it or slot it in while on A/C. Also, yes, the AC will cut off when its 100% charged. The reason this is not good is that your battery will be a white elephant. Why want to keep your battery fully charged and then not use it? Isn't that the reason why you get a notebook instead of a desktop?

This is what i do.. i usually charge my netbook to 100% and then use it till around 10 - 15% and then charge it again. Batteries are meant to be used... Also, a study was written that if you'd like to keep your battery and not use it, charge it to 30 - 40 % and keep it, it will last longer than keeping it charged at 100%. This is why when the notebook is shipped to you, there is enough battery for installing/configuring the remaining windows XP/7.
