Hmmm, must be me and my shaky hands.......normally couldn't get satisfactory sharpness when i shoot indoors when i go f8 and above...hahaExposure and weather not really, during a bright day you don't really need tripod. |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 6 2010, 03:32 PM) Which mode you're using? If A/P mode, in indoor you use F/8 the camera will use a very slow shutter, so your hand cannot compensate for the slow speed and eventually will result in blurry photos. Indoor f/8.0 need flash or pump ISO in order to get reasonable shutter speed, no other way =D Am using A mode........hmmm,now that you mention it, must have been coz of the ISO settings......thanks for the reminder!QUOTE(celciuz @ Jul 6 2010, 03:34 PM) Haha, yeah....wanna get myself a good tripod with good ballhead.....seem like benro got good reviews and pretty decent price too.....may i know if the tripod u r using is good?? |

QUOTE(kenji_britney @ Jul 6 2010, 04:06 PM) TR-38 user here also, starting to get annoyed at the darn tripod.. lol. got a bit of strong wind then not stable enough d haha. but for general use like taking own photos and set timer/remote, it's ok. Can try to hang the dslr bag on the tripod to make it more stable I want a tripod for landscapes and HDRs......but not often used anyway....so most prob go with a cheap one first |

Coz 1st time go, I dare not go free n easy, scared kena chopped.... next time den I rent a car la... there all MPV only! Don worry la.... at broad day light u wont get blur pics, unless u wanna reduce ur shutter as celciuz said, but if u wanna get totally blur free at small aperture den better use a tripod, lol.... I carry my tripod all the way there, only hav chance to open few times only. Usually capturing sunset with me inside, lol.... even bracketing ev I oso handheld it.... lol Yaya, main reason to bring tripod there is the sunset! Sunset+couple.....fuahhhhh Bracketing handheld nvm, still got realign function in photomatix By the way, were the pics taken using 55-200? QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 7 2010, 02:59 PM) Oh yea guys, something to ask here =) Yeah, i get that as well.....sometimes i get only 2 shots instead of 3. But i find that, sometimes -2EV, u'll only get 2 shots but using -1EV at the same spot, u'd get 3 shots. I think it's probably something to do with underexposing it too much and it becomes too dark to snap a pic...u know how sometimes there is a notice that 'Subject too dark' when in A mode and it doesn't let u take a pic, maybe the -2EV emulates that.....just noob guess.....hahaI'm new to bracketing mode, few days ago i tried using bracketing in A mode, it should come out with 3 pictures, with one underexposed, one normal exposed and one overexposed right? But I got 2 normal exposed, one over. The -2EV looks just the same with 0 EV =X I usually use M mode but Manual can't bracket. is this normal? QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Jul 7 2010, 03:00 PM) Mine included in package.... I got my package really really cheap la from matta, that's y I took tour, RM600 5D4N 3 meals included.... when I walk into my hotel (Best Western Kuta) den i notice it cost 750,000 rupiah per night, which is nearly 300rm/night. Wow, good tradeoff for rm600......i got my package at matta fair as well, one of those buy 1 free 2 packages for rm599.....so i'll be flying to 3 diff places, guilin, bali n phuket...hope can take nice nice pics! The bird was shot handheld without tripod, u don need tripod with sufficient lighting, I think it's around 150mm, not 200mm. With VR, it wont b a prob, if u use those tamron without VC, it will kill u... Added on July 7, 2010, 3:03 pm I bracket using A mode. Continuous 3 shots, 1st normal, 2nd under, 3rd over, if not mistaken.... correct me if I'm wrong, nvr try M mode though. |

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Jul 7 2010, 04:12 PM) Ohh.... I see.... muz catch those package next matta fair dy.... lol the trip I got for bali really laughing so happily when I got everything as expected, coz when u buy cheap package, u kinda afraid things doesnt goes as expected!! Airfare I took MAS 2 way which is around 270 only, lol.... So after U go this 3 damn nice place, rmb to shoot as much as u can, if I were u, I would get a wide angle instead ( If u don have one la) these place r full with nice scenery, nothing much to zoom at Ya, i also worry that the hotel not so good, but after going to the phuket trip, it's ok actually QUOTE(ongdandy @ Jul 7 2010, 04:15 PM) Yup, can bracket but max +-2EV only and only 3 shotsThis post has been edited by Vampyr3: Jul 7 2010, 04:24 PM |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 7 2010, 04:26 PM) Read a nifty trick somewhere in a magazine before that after u set to +-2EV bracketing, set teh exposure value to +-1 also.....and u'll get +-3EV at both ends......so it's total range of +-3EV and u get 5 shots, 1 extra on each end of the exposureQUOTE(Kent3888 @ Jul 7 2010, 04:30 PM) Ohh.... When I wanna book for Air Asia, all those promotion 1 full jor, left those expensive 1, so MAS was like very cheap dy.... I think Air Asia 1 way oso 250+ when I wanna book, I oso no$$ to buy wide angle, lol.... so get 55-200, I bought mine 3 month old for 680 with receipt n everything, haha.... juz use 18mm as wide angle la.... actually 18mm is quite wide dy, juz some situation needs to go wider to capture more in the frame, like my pics at the cliff, haha.... No wide angle then need to shoot panorama style and cimbine it together using software liao....the poor man's wide angle, hahaU just keep 150,000 rupiah, u dont count in RM, n juz change rupiah, don need any usd!! Ooo, so need 150k rupiah for the airport tax coming back.....must remember not to spend all, thanks for the tip! QUOTE(ongdandy @ Jul 7 2010, 04:31 PM) If i'm not mistaken....cannot |

QUOTE(Kent3888 @ Jul 7 2010, 04:46 PM) Waa.... good extras for us if the magazine info really works, have u tried it? lol.... Lol, i haven't tried yet but theoretically it really does work......u'd have 2 sets of bracketed photos using the method. 1 set -3ev until +2ev and another set -2EV until +3EV so end to end it's -3EV to +3ev. Those duplicates in the middle ones, just pick either one lah Combine panorama shots ma fan lor.... need to use tripod to do that rite... din read any info on this kind of software oso A fren of mine is using PTGui to combine the panorama and he's using handheld....looks good! |

^lol....no la, if it's like that then Nikon would have included it in the manual liao......can become one of the selling points, no need spend big bucks since i think the 5 shot bracketing only available in full frames?
