Sigma silent? Sure or not... As far as I know the SWMs are the best for Nikons. I can't even hear my 16-35 focusing at all!
I tried Sigma 24-70 2.8 on D700, I can't hear the focus sound. Photography Nikon D40/D40x/D60/D3000/D5000 V10, Entry Level Digital SLR from Nikon.

i dun care if d AF is noisy as long as its fast n not noisy as Tamron's, lol
but i can say Sigmalux definitely AF way faster than Nikkor 50 f/1.4G faster more silent than 18-55 18-55 when focus have 'screeching' like not enuf lubricant |

50mm f/1.4G is slow, slower than the 50mm f/1.4D also anyways LOL.
50mm f/1.4D on D3s -> VERY fast... |

Yes... haha those AF-D really shine with a good high end body! No wonder some of the pros don't want to change to the AF-S. Really fast the D3s twist the 50mm f/1.4D. Yesterday went to shoot event friend brought his new D3s, 14.7k!!! Arghhh, but lucky I'm immune.. gonna wait for D700's replacement xD.
