Hi...

Do you guys notice most of the time ..the HD quality on HBO HD isn't that great....compared to other HD channels.

Sometimes it doesn't really feel like HD at all...on some of the movie programs.

Do you guys seeing the same? The 310 Zhi Zun, Discovery HD, Sports are great though..

Sometimes the contents are only 720p ... even when the channels are 1080.

some content is merely upscaled...

Stuff like the World Cup, BPL. Tennis in HD are great...

F1 looks rubbish

1080i refreshes screen 540 lines at a time, that why it is called interlace, while 720p doing the full 720 lines

obviously 1080i ≠ 720p

HBO is total crap and bull shit ! So far I wld say AXN HD is superb next to NGC the rest remain satisfactory but HBO remains worst hmm.gif

It's not about whether its 720p or 1080p.

Even some Blu Ray movies quality are crap.. this is because of lousy conversions, not because it's 720p or 1080p.

may be you are watching 1080i being deinterlaced to 1080p by your full HD HDTV

switch off the deinterlacer and compare brows.gif

PQ on my Toshiba HD ready TV great with 1080i than 720p.
Someone say philips HD ready cannot support 1080i.

should I choose 720p or 1080i on my Toshiba 32CV500E? it is HD Ready 1366X768 but can accept 1080p...

I switched between 720p and 1080i cant see diff

Same model with me. rclxms.gif I choose 1080i because it recommended resolution in TV manual.

the recommended in the manual is 1920X1080 la. our tv is only 1366X768 1080p capable

now watching world cup using 720p, will change back later
