i think u are playing against other plat players?
the placement is only for the first 5 games...
then u with be matchmake against ppl of ur same rank (plat in ur case)

the placement match will determine where you be placed, starting from copper (if i'm not wrong), bronze, silver, gold, platinum. copper is the lowest class where you will meet those sucks player, while platinum you will probably be palying with those gosu skilled player. (pro gamer) =x
