I didn't say anything about region lock dude, read conflicting reports on the region-free thing for some time. I just said it makes more sense to buy the cheaper version (and cut lousy IAH Games out of the profits).

Well, i rather pay more for a better gaming experience since Blizzard will be hosting a server in Singapore very soon. Anyway, i bought mine for like RM228..not sure which supplier u bought for that charge you so much. It's your preference dude, just i felt funny why so many people buying US version smile.gif For me..gaming experience > save money

Hi, there used to be a game called Hellgate:London. IAH Games were the ones hosting the servers in Singapore. You should check out what happened.

USD75 for SEA version(IAHGAMES authorized by BLIZZARD!).
USD60+USD10(shipping) for US version (BLIZZARD directly!).

I know where I'm getting the better experience and it's cheaper too.

IMO, IAH with such previous reputation managed to land the contract of being the SEA distributor. I think bumping the price to USD75 is part of the deal. It means we're paying for IAH to land the contract of being the sole distributor of the SEA region. Therefore, I'm giving money to Blizz directly but I am voting with my wallet for a different issue I have with Blizzard. I can wait. I have other games to play.

I don't want like to pretend to like SC2. I have some objections and I want to like SC2 like how I liked my SC1. (That I really like it myself without people telling me to like it coz they're playing it.)

EDIT: formatting.

Didn't buy it. Game can wait, as I have a lot of stuff from Steam's summer sale as well as waiting to see whether Blizzard actually fixes the region locks, questionable B.Net 0.2 design, prices etc before I choose to buy or now.

I prefer to cut out the profiteering middle man than to pay up for their inflated price. PS, setting up servers is blizzards responsibilities. We didn't have to pay up for EA setting up Fragnetics servers for Bad Company 2(IAH Games is just giving excuses, they just want more profit, they know this is a hot seller). I'll probably buy the digital version when thats available. If that ever becomes available. Either way, there are other games I'm excited about this year. StarCraft 2 can wait.

RM248 = USD77. Do you honestly believe the inflated price is to give us a better experience? The SEA region(at least the price in Malaysia) is the most expensive in the world. So the SEA region SC2 should in theory be the best version in the world. We are the envy(or the butt of all jokes) of the world.

For me, I just can't wait tongue.gif I've been playing beta for quite some time. I am not sure which server I am being routed to, but I think it should be the korean server..but I have been getting 0.5sec delay..and that cause me alot of lost games..trust me. SC2's micro is the key to everything. I rather pay a bit more than risking getting 0.5-1sec delay being routed to the US servers.

yet again, I am not sure whether SEA experience would be better..but just my logic tell me..the nearer the server is, the better the experience would be smile.gif

I am in the gold league..not pro..but not a noob who doesn't micro smile.gif

Bought Starcraft 1 and Diablo 2 from them, both of those games were quite cheap.

For my case, they provide me cd-keys for Starcraft 1 and Diablo 2 (including their expansions respectively)

I activate them in Battlenet and downloaded from Battlenet.

It works so far.

These are not supported by Blizzard hence we don't don't support them either(LYN doesn't allow posts that talk about sites that sell cd keys). They are a use at your own risk service. Best bet, buy from Blizzards DD service.

PS : Sorry had to delete the posts that talk about them or quoted the post that talked about it.

Sure, no worries.

Best to get them directly from Blizzard or via retail / distributor for physical copies.

Your logic is absolutely spot on. The nearer the server the better the experience. But you must be aware the price inflation is not because of a server in SG. Other companies have done this before. This is no big deal. What is the logic in charging 28% more than the US price? Just because of the servers? US players got no local server? EA has servers for BC2 all over the world. And offers a great experience too. All I'm saying is you must realise their reason for charging that much is bullshit.

I don't mind you buying it. It is absolutely your right. You want to play it soon, I understand. But please don't believe in that rubbish they said.
