Hi, My LMST got a radiator fan problem. Sometime it would not start spinning by itself after I start my engine and drive for a while. When the temperature bar reach up to 4 bars, i know that the fan is not spinning, I would stop the car and push the fan manually, only then it start to spin. May I know what is the problem and the solution?

thanks

from what u say by hand turning it just turn mostly is fan motor problem..
*becareful by using your hand is dangerous, take something to knock the motor instead using ur hand..
just change the fan motor...
btw,the fan does not turn immediately after u start ur car & ur 'a while' means how long?

i also got same problem lately......
but i just ignore it, cuz the temp bar increase to 4bar for a while only for my case, normally 5minit and then drop to 3 bar back....
but sometime when it 4 bar too long, i will park at any petrol station, rest abit for 2-5minit (buy drink @ go to toilet) then start back my engine....and it normal again...

do i neet to check also my radiator fan???
coz normally, when i check, it function normally......
that why i nit change it yet.......

In my case, when the temperature reach 4 bars, it will rise up all the way to 6 bars if I'm not stop the car and turn the radiator fan manually.
Am i need to change the fan motor? Or it just some wiring problem?

I changed the motor today.
The foreman changed a APM motor for car model Perdana(stated at the sticker) to my car(Proton Saga LMST). Is that ok? Cost me totally RM155 (RM135 motor, RM20 labor).
I kind of disappointed because they changed it without any troubleshooting, maybe it was the fuse or relay problem or something else. Now I only hope that the problem will not happen again.

My aircond is working fine. The problem was the RADIATOR fan, sometimes it wont start spinning by itself , but it would working fine after i turned the blade manually.

Since you say the fan will only start spinning again after you push it ... should be something wrong with the fan motor ..

take a hammer and whack the center of the motor. if it spins the motor is jammed, time for a new one.

when yr engine is off and you try turn the fan manually...

does it have a resistance.. eg not smooth to spin.. compare it will yr aircond fan.. it should be able to spin freely...

if got like resistance or cannot spin freely then its time to change.. if it spins freely without any resistance then, it might be because of 2 things..

1 is the relay... and 1 is the termister/aka fan switch...
