Just to report back. I moved my game folder from Program Files(x86) out to "c:\Steam" as a new install per instruction given above. Still the only time Steam can complete start up properly is when I remove my laptop running utorrent as a server.
And I got to restart the linksys router with the Voip phone, laptop with utorrent unplugged.

I did not download hotspot shield because the rating on Download.com is just 3star out of 5. I would download programs only if they are 4 or 5stars.


PS: I tried to port range forward to my gaming pc and nope, it doesnt solve the problem.

Anyone, knows if I already have the original COH do I need to repurchase it for Steam in order to play the expansion/dlc?

Both Tales of Valor and Opposing Front. I guess I should just get the complete pack since it is pretty much the same price as getting just the TOV+OFront.

This deal end Monday?

Just an update: I have not had problem connecting for the past 3 days or so.

Bittorrent running on my bt laptop full time and Steam connects like no other.

Same here, steam connection problem. whats worst, can not go into offline mode...

steam problem + Tmnet problem.

restarted my router problem fixed.

Thanks for sharing. My lousy router a linksys WAG200G which I bought about 2 years ago, does not have any firmware update. So now, it is gonna be constant restart and relog if I want steam to work.
