QUOTE(LiMcZ @ Jul 4 2010, 10:40 PM) not everyone has CC, like me, still a student, and debt card doesnt has annual tax, anyone here tried buy stuff online thru debit card? care to share how isit to be done? Same thing , its just like a credit card. Thats all. You need to have sufficient funds. Debit card will not work for MMORPG which requires the vendor to charge (pre-charge/pre-auth). Sometimes debit card may fail in sense (i.e booking airline ticket , booking hotel). If you have RM 5.00 in your debit card then you're dead. Sometimes prebooking , they would just charge a large amount (say Rm 100-200) - you can't do this with a debit card but you can do it with a credit card. Thats the difference. For steam , as long you have enough funds you can buy the game. Thats all Public Bank debit card - i.e VISA offers the lowest exchange rate (so far , maybanks one is a bit high). So if you want to apply , get public bank.

I think PayPal is a good alternative for those without CC but alas, LYN has banned PayPal sale so I guess PayPal is not that accessible anymore here. aiyo bro, i din mean that la..... u make me feel bad, hahaha This post has been edited by LiMcZ: Jul 4 2010, 10:48 PM

For maybank , go to maybank2u - activate visa shopping or something. Do that and it should work. I was told also you may have to activate PLUS (International thingy) for sometimes for it to work properly. You may want to try that

When at steam GUI, do I have to include all my name with "BIN" or just my 1st and last name? Then is the billing address is my contact address that I can see in my Maybank2u details?

You'll have to follow the name which is written on card
For instance if your name is Abu Bin Ali and in the credit card if its written Abu B. Ali , then you gotta follow it. Steam is picky about that. The address does not matter

You can click on below link to view through all 20 pages (not including various minor threads littering the Steam forum) of people getting frustrated for having their account locked up from doing any purchase even with no changes to their payment info. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...d.php?t=1322333 Added on July 5, 2010, 12:56 amQUOTE(Mr.Beanster @ Jul 4 2010, 05:31 PM) bioshock 2 lolx How cheap was Bioshock 2 during the Summer Sale? The reason I'm asking is due to Borderlands is now back to 66%. When it was been placed under daily sales category 2 days ago, it was 66% before reverting back to 33% last night. Now it's back to 66% so I'm not sure if there're other games affected as well. This post has been edited by talexeh: Jul 5 2010, 12:56 AM
