So, after searching and reading almost all the forum, I've narrowed down my search to AC Ryan and xtremer... Leaning more towards acr smile.gif

Just need your suggestion, should I get the mini2 or the essential? On one hand, I don't need the Internet stuff but on the other, it might be nice to have... What do you think?

Thanks in advance. Hope to receive some opinions soon cause planning to get a set at PC Fair tomorrow smile.gif

Ps. Am planning to watch lots of mkv and 720 files ...

Hi Boxbuilder, thanks for the recommendations. Went to PC Fair today and got myself the Mini2! at a much better price than what was quoted to me in low yat! smile.gif next on my shopping list is a 2TB external Hard Drive to store all my movies and songs smile.gif

On a seperate note, can anyone please tell me, is the Mini2 able to read the external hard drive if i were to format it for Mac? this is because i noticed that if i format it to Mac, i cannot use on Windows and visa versa, so just wondering if its the same thing.

Thanks!

Mac format is FAT32, Windows normally is NTFS. Linux is EXT3. These 3 format is supported by mini2. But FAT32 can support file size up to 4GB only, if I am not mistaken. So, to enjoy HD movies with files more than 4GB, strongly suggest format in NTFS.

Great! Thanks for the tip smile.gif

Hi. need some help.

i noticed that mu subtitles suddenly disappeared. i had a couple mkv files which was showing subtitles without any srt but when i tried them again the subtitles were all gone.

i don't remember changing the files in any way and just thought that maybe someone tinkered with the settings.

Tried searching around but couldnt find the answer and hope that i can get the answer here.

Thanks in advance

subs in mkv files show up auto unless you set to non auto - check that setting.
if set to non-auto, can always press the subtitles button to activate it.
if you have tried all of that and can't get it back, that is very strange...
