Can anybody help me. I updated with this (Firmware: V7.4.3 r2115), once I updated, the picture have 2 black bar on the left hand side and right hand side, as you can see in my attachment. Before I do any update, it was okay, no black bar on the left side and right side. I checked again, e'ry setting is correct, picture format is all 16:9.....

Firmware problem right?????

Before the firmware update, the same exact file was viewing in full-screen? So your TV is confirming that the display is 1080p 16:9 right? It looks like a TV zoom feature that caused it (on my Sony TV, the options for the zoom are something like Zoom, Wide Zoom etc.). hmm.gif

Before firmware update, everything is okay. The TV setting is just fine, I used another media player to play the same file. It looked okay, no black bar on the left and right side. When black bar showed in left and right side, meaning something is very wrong with the firmware.
Can I use back the old firmware? Can the PlayOn read the old firmware????
Model: ACR-PV73100...

can you try pressing the zoom out button on your remote control ? I suspect you accidentally pressed the zoom in button which resulted in the above scenario.
*
No no no, not the zoom button, no accidentally. TV and POHD unit all 16:9. No zoom. I already changed other media player unit, no problem at all... Problem started after I updated this stupid firmware....
My suggestion to other POHD users, don't update this firmware...

You mentioned that you flashed to V7.4.3 r2115 but from the website, the latest is v7.3.3.r4824, maybe try using the latest one instead.

As u can see my attachment is really V7.4.3 r2115
You think the POHD unit and can down grade the firmware to V7.3.3 r4824??? I also don't know actually. doh.gif

Try to set the "Video Zoom" option to "OFF" in "Setup -> Video option - > Video Zoom" (if i remember the path correctly). I have the same problem last night after I test my repaired unit (which already upgraded to R2115 after i bring it back home, previously before repair I'm using an older version of the firmware).

I cannot resolve it even with "Zoom" option until I set the "Video Zoom" to "Off".  Give this a try, hope it will solve your problem  icon_rolleyes.gif !!

I'm going to test out the new firmware R3966 since R2115 look way too slow to operate... hope everything is as smooth as old firmware...

Good luck !

AC Ryan just released their factory firmware. Will download soon. R2115 is Beta firmware, very useless.

anyone encounter the same problem?

tq

If you really encountered this problem, why not you try to use usb cable to transfer your movie file.. If the USB cable still won't work, then the movie file is corrupted.
