There's no need to be on the defensive mode that suggested to be accepted as a cheap thingy. All I'm saying that there's room for improvement and I think they're reasonable realising its not a perfect product, but its does sell at a premium and premuim prices are to attain a clear edge over its competitors. I even think the software features lags a distance behind the Seagate Home Theatre+.
It says it can support external drives, but it can't play my audio cd and it irks me.

You are right, my friend. Actually for 1 product, one of the main factor to live long is the service. Actually we handle some complained regarding hardware problem from local customers via A.C.Ryan Netherland. At the end, they are happy with our fast action. So, next time, if you got some hardware issue need to solve, pls let us know, no need send email to Netherland ya.
Enjoy!

Yup, I personally think statement given by BoxBuilder is true (Not to butter you up tongue.gif ). Customer service play significant role here (for new players in market). Even if materials provided is not up to the mark, as long as their service is good, product will have good image and reputation.

You are talking about those 3D using Magenta/Green glasses or actual 3D types you see at Cinema nowadays?

those 3D version movies that required using Magenta/Green glasses, such as 3D version of Avatar, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Clash of The Titans......etc

This type of 3D don't need any special hardware. They just use the two colours in conjunction with the glasses to separate the image for the left and right eye. For sure any media player can play them, just like an ordinary movie.

You just have to be patient and wait. I think most owners want anything new and seemingly better. Who doesn't?
I too can't wait for its so deficient of many features that I think is useful or desirable. When it comes, it'll come.. near Christmas perhaps? drool.gif
Meanwhile I'm spending my free time to rip my collection of ori DVD's to the external HDD for future viewing.

Do us a all favor and give lah once a blue moon RM69 for owners here lah!
IMHO, Factually its only worth that much, not that it'll allow you access to the whole world wide web from the box. blush.gif

I just took out my benchtop Linear DC regulated PSU (from one of my DIY electronics tools), set it exactly at 12VDC
plugged into the POHD. It hovers at about 1.2amp current draw at play mode. (NO internal HDD). DIY cable n plug to the POHD.
I notice at least 10-20% better picture quality. Its slightly more vivid and a wee bit stronger color saturation. Some improvement. I plugged in back n forth with the ori PSU wart and do acknowledge there is a slight improvement with a linear PSU.
I'm going to build a linear PSU for this soon. Now looking around for parts. The PSU must be capable of 3Amp max.
Better still, use battery power... ultimate perhaps?. Never know, I may just do that for kicks. I can always use my benchtop PSU for recharging the battery.
Say no to wall warts...they're definitely a cheap economic compromise. They're never the best for audio/video purposes, unless the manufacturer have tuned it for lowest noise and ripple.

Old man where can run, need to bring tongkat . Maybe use tongkat whack all those in front, then can get 1st in line biggrin.gif

Btw, What's the expected price of the screwless 2 Bay USB 3.0 Toaster you mentioned before in this forum? If join 2 units together can they become one single 4 Bay unit, which the POHD can recognise all 4 bays through 1 USB connection?
