i want a cheaper phone running on android OS, these 2 are my choices for the time being.

why Hero vs Galaxy?

I use the HERO and I love it.

The only thing is that lately the messaging has been a little slow. It could be because I have 1,000s of texts that are saved... it never deletes them... at least not for a long time - i'm sure there's a setting for this.

@drumfun101 u upgraded to android v2.1 already?
@netken i'm not talking bout galaxy s 1900, i think that's a new 1.

HTC Hero with 2.1 works okay for me. But if I had the cash, I'd definitely upgrade to Desire.

im using galaxy i 7500. so far. the only issue is that the official os is adnroid 1.5. within a week of buying it, i had rooted and installed drakazs galaxo.
if ur willing to run custom rom, then by all means.

HTC hero !!! htc sense...custom rom....alot of developer!

well.. i thought bout it, think i'd wanna pick hero.
but then day before i went to lowyat with bunch of friends, samsung was promoting galaxy s over there.
i tried the phone, and i must say i'm very very impressed, but then not of the same standard right? >_<

specs are different dude. my galaxy is running on 528mhz, the ram also less. galaxy s is running 1 ghz processor. ram also half a gig right....
