Autofoam aside, the UR front strut bars and anti-roll bars are effective or just rubbish ?

I installed front strut and rear arb for my myvi. I wouldn't say it is 100% effective, but i did feel the difference for my car. The rear anti roll bar brings the most difference and reduced the body roll. The front strut not much difference. The only difference I felt was the front end was slightly shaper and felt more stable in high speed.

And of cause, the ride becomes a little uncomfortable but still can tolerate la.

It all depends on what you drive and what you're looking for. If you have a car with high centre of gravity and you're looking to reduce body roll without lowering your car, the rear arb can help to reduce the body roll, not 100% eliminate the body roll.

In this case, then i will not make impulse decision.
I like Chris Wee review, since few member here tried it and regret with installation, so will have to skip this auto foam stuff now.

When it comes to reviewing products & services, I trust Chris Wee and Kon more than Bobby. I just feel like Bobby kinda hard selling lol.

Or drive like any other person. Safe speed. Cornering at 80km/h vs 50km/h won't make a difference for the destination you are going. Unless you just have this need for speed itch.

But cornering at 80 is more fun than 50kmh Hahaha. But yes, I do have the need for speed itch once in a while.

Jokes aside, there is a difference even in low speeds especially when taking tight bends or going around a roundabout.

Honestly saying, why do you think autofoam will help with nvh?

Harder material will bounce sound more effectively. If this autofoam will harden like concrete, wouldn't it amplify the effect of noise created?

I have been driving vios, wira, sunny, etc before I actually got Sonata(company provided) and Rio. The nvh is so much better on these, and what they did is add those soft mushy foam in the front fender (both Rio and Sonata) and also some sort of soft but thick material on the wheel arch rubber cover (for sonata only). Even for audio gear testing in sound proof room, they are using soft mushy foam to do the job, not using something hard and solid.

Drove few days & completely forgot about it.

Worst mod I ever did.

Autofoam = continental car?

I would like to get an example which continental car come with autofoam in default? I doubt u can get one.

Done it before, less airborne noise but the ride is harsh in badly pave road, the impact transmit from the suspension to the whole body through the harden filled foam instead of dissipate half way in the hollow pillar without foam. Again u may say this is subjective, give and take.

But one dangerous thing you may not know for autofoam the side sill (hollow pillar bottom of the door) is you are potentially bloking the water drainage system that seep in from the chassis and flooded your cabin. I'm the victim of this issue previously and luckily discovered just after few days where only driver side carpet is flooded. Mine one not done at KL Auto but i doubt they will ever tell you the truth. They are not car designer and they won't be able to know how the drainage system is designed for every car. Don't scold me if you have no issue with yours because you may just lucky enough.

Recently just went back from soundproofing shop and they told me there are few Merz/BMW who done the autofoam at KL Auto water flooded under the carpet. So yiu still believe my case is coincidence? Your choice, don't say i'm not warn you.

i rather spend on ultra racing bars and good tires

Modern cars, definitely no to bars and especially no to UR.

that said, I actually bought a Cusco strut bar because of brake cylinder stopper and I was curious if it actually improve braking as advertised.

And surprisingly it does laugh.gif
But you only get to really feel it under really hard braking like Sepang T15/T1, Or maxing out on Ulu Yam straights then follow up by sharp L corners so you'll be braking from 200 >100 ish.

With all that said, most important still tires so your last bit I can totally agree with thumbup.gif

Damn... I thought I had bad experience with Desmond. You too?

He’s seriously an arrogant con artist which survived for so long already and there are many dumb supporters who don’t know shit about the consequences of autofoam to their cars.

I wrote a honest opinion on the YouTube and Bobby just defended Desmond kaw kaw. Seriously, Bobby’s review is just pure advertising material. Same as most of most local car reviews such as paultan! To me, autobuzz still earns my respect to be a proper quality car reviewer.

Des he is the only the salesman, he dont even know how to open the door panel ok. 100% rely on his staff.

Worse, his senior staff in both jalan ipoh and glenmarie outlet left him. probably cant stand his arrogance-ness...

apart from the experience with him, autofoam i do have some good experience (with my previous fd2) which i do feel the difference in term of the driving experience when taking corner with lesser weight compare to the strut bar.

Thinking to autofoam my gti now, but des.... forget it. drool.gif

Hmm.. You like your ride hard eh? laugh.gif

I've installed it on my Volvo S40 previously and it was pretty hard for me. The first month or so, it was great but long term, its like putting on hard coilovers without the option to reverse back.

Anyway, I did 2x and now, I wouldn't even think about getting my cars done on autofoam. Maybe I'm just getting old laugh.gif

P/s : des is still a prick! laugh.gif
