Damn... I thought I had bad experience with Desmond. You too?

He’s seriously an arrogant con artist which survived for so long already and there are many dumb supporters who don’t know shit about the consequences of autofoam to their cars.

I wrote a honest opinion on the YouTube and Bobby just defended Desmond kaw kaw. Seriously, Bobby’s review is just pure advertising material. Same as most of most local car reviews such as paultan! To me, autobuzz still earns my respect to be a proper quality car reviewer.

How about just normal soundproofing and not foaming? Are they good? What I’m afraid is the more they remove the panels the more problems, squeak and rattling it causes.
*
You have to do a lot for soundproofing to be effective. This will be expensive and add weight to your car increasing fuel consumption. Dismantling seats, body panels and dashboard may cause rattles and squeaks in future. In my opinion not worth it. Soundproofing is best done in the factory. If you want good NVH buy a better car.

Rattling and squeaking is due to the panel clips which is made of plastic. After some time plastic harden and most of the time never gets replaced.

So after doing sound proofing door panels or other stuff couldn't lock properly into place, causing it to squeak.

Be right, should replace those clips after a couple of years, especially if the car is frequently parked outside under hot sun

Its a loophole, the sticker says POLICE EYEWEAR, which is a brand name. Not legal?

I wish there is a shop that specialises in solving rattles and squeaking noises. Most service centre and workshop have no time to deal with that

I am not expert in autofoam but logically thinking. Car manufacturer spend a lot of R&D in fine tuning their cars for stability and cornering. So by default, out of the factory, the cars are tuned to best spec possible from manufacturer. By adding those foam, you are compromising the integrity of the vehicle and might actually more harm than good. Therefore, for me it installing autofoam, need to make sure the installer knows what he is doing. Different cars might need to use different way of installing autofoam. Just my 2 cents.
*
Same goes to those who buy cheap car but modify here and there hope to get same stability with rm100k car.

People can modify, but comfort level will be destroy kaw kaw. That is a reason why car is expensive in the first place. If its so easy to increase stability, long time ago car manufacturer done it already.

i was actually tempted to do the autofoam due to comment from Bobby, after reading so much from here, i will reconsider.

As comment from Desmond, UR bar adds additional vibration to the car compare to autofoam, if he is a snakeoil agent, then i don;t know how true is that.

Every salesman would always say his/her product good and others are bad. But still got many buyers will always believe what the salesman says. shakehead.gif

Bobby is influencer, they are creating content base on benefits for themselves, at least priority on that.

In this case, then i will not make impulse decision.
I like Chris Wee review, since few member here tried it and regret with installation, so will have to skip this auto foam stuff now.

I bought a used Jazz with autofoam + 4 UR bars + stiff rings and the ride is just rubbish.

The car squeecks/rattles like no tomorrow on the slightest bit of rough road. At first I thought it has something to do with the lowering spring / worn out absorber. Replaced new absorbers and new springs yet not much of improvement.

Felt like most of these mods are just gimmick that created a pseudo effect and nothing else.
