Yes, it can use IDE Hard Disk in SATA MotherBoard, and also can use SATA Hard Disk in IDE MotherBoard

is that the converter suitable for this hard disk? 82 GB


i am now using eMachine et1862, come with sata2 hard disk(not sure is sata or sata2 rclxub.gif , have red colour cable) but spoiled last month.

This is Hitachi 82GB IDE hard disk

I can't guarantee it's 100% supporting all kind of mother board, because some of branded mother board got their special BIOS that BLOCKED third-party hardware and make it couldn't recognize at all. So far, I still believe you still got chances of 90% to work on it since my converter very seldom got compatibility issue. Try your luck biggrin.gif

how can i know that eMachine motherboard has that special BLock or not? is there any way to check through BIOS?

and we need total of 2x molex cable in order to use this converter right ? (for ide hard disk to sata motherboard)
is that desktop power supply box will have the 2x molex cable? or i need to buy sata to molex cable

Yes, available.

But, you need another adapter -- 2.5" to 3.5" IDE Adapter that cost RM17/unit

Using Pos Laju courier, add-on RM6 to west-malaysia / RM9 to east-malaysia
