yeah nowadays smart phone all battery cant even last a day.. one reason to stick to E72.. anyway anyone tried backup the contacts using Pc suite?
after format phone will the contacts duplicated?
This is my way to backup my Mostly use & Important
SMS, Contacts & Calender.
Backup (Sync) using Nokia Suite, more reliable than the old version (PC Suite & Ovi Suite)
Had configured to sync with Microsoft Outlook too.
So, got 2 copies of backup, one is in
NOKIA SUITE & one in
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK.
I have to say Nokia Suite is not really configuration friendly enough, little bit complicated, as long you can read properly its settings, there would be no problem. Anyone using it, please configure your SETTINGS properly first (Tools -> Options)
After Sync, there is a log to let you know what has sync,
when it report,
YOUR COMPUTER = Means it backup into
NOKIA SUITE itself.
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK = Means it backup into your
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK installed on your system.
Another tips from my experience, some people Syncing both way in PC & Phone, that way, sometimes old/deleted data will be copied again into your devices. (You will go mad dunno which data is New or Old or Obsolete)
So, I only update on my Phone only. On the PC side, it is just a
BACKUP only.
Before Format Phone, Sync with Nokia Suite first, then double check MS Outlook has the data or not.
If got, Backup the .pst files of your MS Outlook to another folder & named it with a date you backup.
Then, proceed Format the Phone. After that Sync with Nokia Suite again, all Data in MS Outlook will copy back to Phone.
If anything goes wrong after you format phone and sync with PC, you still have your .pst files you backup previously.
Hope that help existing Nokia E72 users.
Long Live Nokia E72 !
p.s.
Mr Nokia, if you read this, please update the firmware to solve the
Memory issues
. No need add more functions already, if I want more functions or enhancement, I will get your another new Nokia smartphone OKAY !
