How do I set my E72 to connect my Bluetooth Headset automatically?

Now i need to go through all the menu through Control Panel - Connection - Bluetooth - Paired Devices,
and select my Headset Name, then select "Connect to Audio Device"

This is very long & troublesome every time I switch on either my Bluetooth Headset or my Bluetooth connection.

I already set my Headset as "Authorised".

Please Help. Thank in advance.

Guys, I'm considering the E72 since the company I work for does not support email on Blackberry...sadly sad.gif
I know E72 has been launched for some time and the OS is not the latest...the following are my requirements:
1. Sync Email, Contacts and Calender with Exchange server
2. Good battery life
3. Occasional web browsing.

I have a few questions which I hope E72 experts here can shed some light..thanks in advance bros..

1. How is the battery life performance with data on and using push email?
2. Can I set peak time/ off peak time so that my data is enabled for certain amount of hours only? Or do I have to set it manually each day?
3. Does email in HTML shows up properly in the phone?
4. When you browse through the list of emails in your inbox, how responsive is it? I tested in the Nokia store the other day and it's kinda slow...I'm not sure whether it's just a problem with that display test unit or it's like this normall...
5. Anything that I should know? Based on your experiences on business usage...

Battery life is very good for me.
Surf experience not that good for me.
Email just okay.
Symbian system very old alrd, why not get Android or iPhone? To get more feature support later also.
I like symbian 1 thing is=== Battery Life smile.gif

Hi All,
Is it worth that my Nokia E72 bring it to store to UPDATE the SOFTWARE to the latest version ?

My current software is these;
Software Version: 023.002
Software Version Date: 25-JAN-2010
Custom Version: 023.002.C00.01
Model: E72-1
Type: RM-530

Is it worth the update? Otherwise too troublesome send to shop to update for me.

I tried update myself, unfortunately, all method I tried failed, I'm willing to pay the shop to do it.

Is the latest version good enough with lots improvement. What's the latest version?

Hope someone can help me on these. Thanks in advance smile.gif

Hi bro,

have you tried OTA update via *#0000#? Whats the reason it canot be updated through PC suite or OTA?

So far new version works good for me. A little smoother.
New version released surely got pros and cons. Some have reported bugs, but so far mine all ok.

But my phone is having the sms alert bug even for previous versions. After sometime, msg that comes in wouldnt have any tone or vibrate. Weird.
*
Tried OTA or OVI Software or Software updater also.
Quite sometime already tried, I forgot exactly what error is it.
It is like it keep waiting very long time waiting it to respond, even wait for 1 hour also no respond, like hang already. All 3 method also same. I suspect my firmware version got problem using Updates of Firmware in the first place.

How much those phone shop Charge for Updating to latest software ?
Any Shop can do ? or recommend to go certain branded shop one ?

Sometimes is not necessary to get original battery.. you can look for other OEM batteries that has extra mAh so that the lifetime is longer as well..price is onli around RM20-30.. it willl last, as long u charge when the battery is almost finished..

I cannot find a higher capacity for e72.
What is the price range for original, I love my e72, need better for it.
Can suggest which shop at lowyat honest sell me original batteries?

yeah nowadays smart phone all battery cant even last a day.. one reason to stick to E72.. anyway anyone tried backup the contacts using Pc suite?
after format phone will the contacts duplicated?
*
This is my way to backup my Mostly use & Important SMS, Contacts & Calender.
Backup (Sync) using Nokia Suite, more reliable than the old version (PC Suite & Ovi Suite)
Had configured to sync with Microsoft Outlook too.
So, got 2 copies of backup, one is in NOKIA SUITE & one in MICROSOFT OUTLOOK.

I have to say Nokia Suite is not really configuration friendly enough, little bit complicated, as long you can read properly its settings, there would be no problem. Anyone using it, please configure your SETTINGS properly first (Tools -> Options)

After Sync, there is a log to let you know what has sync,
when it report,
YOUR COMPUTER = Means it backup into NOKIA SUITE itself.
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK = Means it backup into your MICROSOFT OUTLOOK installed on your system.

Another tips from my experience, some people Syncing both way in PC & Phone, that way, sometimes old/deleted data will be copied again into your devices. (You will go mad dunno which data is New or Old or Obsolete)
So, I only update on my Phone only. On the PC side, it is just a BACKUP only.

Before Format Phone, Sync with Nokia Suite first, then double check MS Outlook has the data or not.
If got, Backup the .pst files of your MS Outlook to another folder & named it with a date you backup.
Then, proceed Format the Phone. After that Sync with Nokia Suite again, all Data in MS Outlook will copy back to Phone.
If anything goes wrong after you format phone and sync with PC, you still have your .pst files you backup previously.

Hope that help existing Nokia E72 users.

Long Live Nokia E72 ! thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif

p.s. Mr Nokia, if you read this, please update the firmware to solve the Memory issues sweat.gif . No need add more functions already, if I want more functions or enhancement, I will get your another new Nokia smartphone OKAY ! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

finally solve n get watsapp working on this hp.

Great to hear that you get Whatsapp working.
Actually, I see this Whatsapp for Symbian is even better if compared to iOS & Blackberry version.
It got more settings to control on Symbian.

Only 1 bad thing about Whatsapp for Symbian is that, once installed, it must automatically run & try to connect to either WiFi or 3G. This is fine for me as also wants to use it while on the move using 3G & I set it priority connect to WiFi first when I'm at home, which is nice too in case I forgot to open the apps.

can this hp be charge using nokia usb charger like nokia n85?
*
I think it should be okay because both is using Micro USB connector.
On E72, it has additional dedicated 2.0 mm Charger Connector, utilize this to better & faster charging of your battery.

Help!! When i switch on my WLAN scan it stated 'system error' and i cant off it. It stops when I remove the battery but same things happens again if i switch it on. Should i send it to service centre for repair? My warranty was expired 1 yr ago. If send for repair I wonder how much they charge?
*
since alrd expired.
Why not bring to the shop to upgrade it to the latest firmware?
Format everything & start from scratch, before that backup ur stuff 1st.

My current Nokia E72 firmware version is 081.003 (15 Oct 2011).
Already got some problems, like
Not Enough Memory prompt,
Cannot start Ovi Maps,
Syncing with Nokia Ovi Suite need restart phone 1st,
etc.
Anyway, still usable as basic phone and other basic features I like.

Now it has new Firmware Version 091.004
Is it recommended to upgrade ?
I hope it can solve some my problem,
I scare it getting WORST ???!!!

What is your current firmware version ?
What is your experience ? Can share ?

Thank you.
