2. Switch on the camera, press "right" on your direction pad and scroll down to the camera light option. There you have the options to choose auto or switch it off.
As for the sound, I found an excerpt from Nokia EU forum, and here you go.

It is now illegal not to have camera shutter sounds on mobile phone cameras in some countries, and this will be the case with more and more countries. This law does not apply to digital cameras. It is in response to mobile phone cameras being used to captured illicit photographs of children etc. This is why Nokia has removed the ability for the user to disable this sound in all the latest models. If you google the subject you will find ways of removing it but most if not all will result in the invalidation of your phones warranty and cannot be discussed in this forum.

Despite your many questions, I'm surprise you did not disappointed with E72's manual. I feel cheated on the manual to be frank as the manual is utterly useless as it failed to serve as a reference on the phone overview especially on the icons explanation. Thank god there is Google and the helpful Nokia community. Just get ready to Google alot on your many confuse on this phone like I first got it on hand.

Get into your browser, go to option, and choose to clear privacy option. If still cannot, check if you have any open apps via the "Show open apps" option and close any unused application.
Hope these helps.
