After charging my E72 today (phone switched off), I turned on the phone and guess what?

All my sms messages were gone! Inbox, Sent and folders - all disappeared.

All the other data - photos, activenotes and contacts are intact - nothing missing. Only all previous sms messages are gone.

Can anyone advise what I can do?

Thanks!

This problem been happening to Nokia symbian 5800XM, N97 and etc. How they resolve this problem by reformating the memory card to FAT32. No harm in trying that could help. I lost my data from my 5800XM 4 times like u after reformat didnt happen anymore

Checked both memories - still missing. Maybe it got overwritten but I wonder whether anyone has experienced this before.

Thanks for replying.

How do we identify from the box whether it's Navi edition or not ?
I believe some Navi edition items (i.e. car holder) have been taken out by dealers/distributors.

i think the phrase "Navi Edition" is printed on the box itself, therefore it's wrong for the retailers to remove items in the box.

this is very resourceful topic.
i have setup Garmin and Nokia messaging based on tutorial here.

Garmin drain battery very fast. never hang so far in 45minutes usage and always re-route. version 5.0.50, orientation = 3-dimensional.

Nokia messaging works as great as BB. I can sync it manually whenever I want by setting "Synchronise new updates" to Off/On. Update interval (=Manual) option does not available if you setup email account from Nokia messaging website. However, if you setup emails account from handphone, this option is available.
