Just want to share my experience with Ecotint products and services which got it done by the Ecotint @ Taipan USJ recently and not sure anybody here experience the same or not.

I would said the product is great because the RB tint does the jobs well in terms of the heat rejection however the customer services & workmanship are the questions for me to tint with Ecotint @ Taipan USJ again.

Bring my car back to Ecotint @ Taipan USJ and did the 1st warranty claims due to the tint films are not fully stick and the finishing is not good on the triangulated a-pillar windows.

They took around an hour plus the finished the job and told them as i saw there's an air bubble on the window but the tint specialist insist that is a water bubble and will disappear a few days later. doh.gif

Waited for a week and the air bubble still there. At the same time I found some dust that stuck inside the tint which cause lots of small air bubble on all the windows after done my car wash. shakehead.gif

Therefore, decided to bring my car back with these problems to Ecotint @ Taipan USJ to have the 2nd warranty claims. yawn.gif

They re-tint the a-pillar window again and tried hard to touch up with those small air bubble with dust inside. And the end they minimized the air bubble size and leave the dust inside and without taking it out for all the windows.

What surprise me the most was been told it will be the same shit again if re-tint the window. ( Does it means their workmanship are not good enough to prevent these happens ?? Or they just do not want to waste the tint ?? Then what's the warranty for ??) mad.gif

The tint specialist even went out half way doing the touch up without any inform and leave me waited an hour plus for nothing and been told to book another appointment to fix the problems again. End up wasted 3 hours plus there... mad.gif

I would said this is not a good experience with Ecotint @ Taipan USJ at least for me, not sure the others. It's really makes me to think twice whether to bring my car back again to do the 3rd warranty claims and waste my time with these unprofessional services providing at the moment. yawn.gif

Until now what i got is the good tint film but not the good service and workmanship from them. laugh.gif

Sigh... sad.gif

The wind-screen heat stip on my dad's car spoil because they so stupid to use blade to cut the tint after they apply the tint film on the car, then cut until the heat strip on the back windscreen. Also this eco-tint in taipan. My dad didnt know and when my dad want to use the heater to clear the fogged screen, got a few strips cannot use already ... baru tau rosak

Hi bro, i had the same issue as well. I went to tint it the first time and the sales girl say how good how good their product is. Then after tinted, saw some bubbles and they claimed it is the water bubbles which will disappear after a week. The fact is, some is water but some is dust, so it stays.

I went in the 2nd time, asked them to re-tint...go back...after few days...still the same. Then send it again for 3rd time, redo and they also tell that some of those bubbles is unavoidable, thats what the sales girl told me. They say the original tinted films from factory already got dust in it.

After the 3rd time, i get pissed off coz it is still the same...and it don't bother to go back there anymore coz it wil waste my time. The solution? Just don't look at the bubbles area. I think is not just their workmanship got problem....product also got QA problem. Not going to visit ECOTINT anymore.
Not happy.

yup, i think those are careless tint specialist that just want to get their job done asap so they just simply cut and paste. also found my front windscreen side rubber had been cut and spoiled by those them but not sure whether they spoil my demister on both of the windscreen or not, need to check again...

The air bubble will usually be gone once you leave your car under the sun for few days. This is called baking the car. A step that must be done after applying new tint.

If after that still have bubble, it usually means dust stuck inside. My ecotint have a speck of dust stuck inside, but I too lazy to bring it back cause it doesn't really bother me. Though I did call the SA and he said can bring back for them to re-tint.

How bad is the dust problem you are facing? more than 5 spots? I shouldn't be a lot cause they do it in aircond room.

oh..man...this is bad...

Who is the one who redo the tint? Request for an experienced sifu to redo it. Even low grade tinting company also will not have this kind of shoddy workmanship.

This is very bad for their PR.

I have no idea whose the one did the dust tint but i think are senior since they wearing black t-shirt. ( junior's in grey t-shirt )

Been told by the sales adviser that all the experienced sifu went on trip at the moment and will be back around next week.

See how next week whether to make another appointment for warranty claims or not ...

Hopefully it will be not be another frustrating claims again but i really doubt so ... hmm.gif
