Hello, firstly I want to appologise if this is not the best place to ask this question, but let us all keep open mind since this is the health and fitness forum.

First off, d confessions that I am 20 yrs old and I have just realise I have been TFK almost every days (usually once/day, most ever is 2 times, but only very occasional) for 6 yrs alreadi sweat.gif and recently this year I have began to reduce the number of times because 1) I suddenly start to become bored of it (may be sign of mature mind shocking.gif ?) and 2) because of health concerns..
2.1 I came to realise my posture has become worse because of doing it
2.2 Read that ppl online say it is not good during 20/30/40's as it may lead to disease and problems
2.3 Recent 3 months I have been having stomach troubles, but I am not sure what is the cause - I burp a lot after each meal like there is always a lot of "air" in stomach. I do not know if this has any relations to TFK or if it is just psychological thinking, as the burps come quite freqently (but not always) and a lot of burps at night. So happens nowadays I also do not TFK that often... hmm.gif

Anyways, since teh frequent stomach air come in April and also want to "turn over new leaf", I started writing down days to reduce. I have reduced from TFK once per day to once per 1.5 days in April (19 times), once per 2 days in May (15 times) and this month is my record once per 3 days (9 times). These numbers are average, but uneven.. (eg. sometimes during weekends I do it 3 days in a row, then after taht didn't do for 6-8 days).

My plan is to stop this bad habit once and for all in next month. But I am looking to seek advice if there are any side effects like disease or health issue if I suddenly stop TFK? Because the body may be already be conditioned for so long to do once a day, then reduce, and then suddenly stop?

you mean you start TFK since your 14 years old ?! i only know those thing when i was 20.....

whats wrong with kids nowaday......

btw, the "burps" might be cause by your eating habit....

did you eat 3 meal per day? maggi or fast food doesnt count as square meal....

To your disappointment, yes I started earlier and I don't think i am the only one. I am planning to change that however.

Yes I have 3 meals per day, but yes I agree with your point - sometimes I eat quite little for lunch/dinner and on weekends I wake up late, nvr eat breakfast. I feel that my stomach is more sensitive to timing these few months. I MUST eat around 7 am, 12 pm and 6 pm to reduce a lot or have no burping. Also seems to occur when I sleep anytime after 12 am when in bed, so I try to sleep earlier recently and change my routine.

About the TFK part, to explain further, last time I do it daily because of there (and my sometimes dirty mind) being "itchy" for some, then it slowly turn into habit, this few months both "dirty mind" and "habit" extinguish and I only do it for stress reduction only. My plan to substitute stress reduction with sleep instead so instead of TFK in july, I will try to focus on other thing or just sleep to prevent myself.

I am only scared of the effects... since I have been doing it for so long, what is the future effect? How about effect after stopping?

Thanks for the advice everyone, I have currently manage to reduce to once per 3 days which is around 2 or 3 times a week and manage to not get "addiction withdrawal" effect (cuz I heard tfk is addicting and I agree)

another one concern I have is before I found out to tfk shortly before shower.. Is I used to TFK in my underwear (yes it sounds disgusting but many would agree it has better "friction") and only wash up later (depends few mins or few hrs) then only go shower. this was around 2005-08) Would this have any negative effect in long term?

I forgot to mention another reason I want to stop/reduce is also I realise the hassle of deal with clean up later and also it can be tiring, means I will waste a lot of time slacking or resting around

Yes, it carries the negative effect of having to buy more underwear due to wear and tear effects in the long term.

Hello. Er.. sorry to disturb this male talk, but I can't help myself but wonder what is 'TFK'? I know what you guys are referring to, but why call it TFK?

Come to think of it, I never really thought about it. I just know what TFK means, but have no clue what it has to do with beating/taking ride on planes
