Hi sifus,

I searched the net, and i got to know that we can use our usb thumdrive as storage devices. what we need to do is

1. get a minimum 1G thumb drive
2. download the latest firmware to support xbox-thumbdrive features into the thumbdrive
3. plug in into xbox
4. you are done

HOWEVER, when i plug in my thumbdrive, my xbox cannot detect the thumbdrive. please help!!!

IIRC there's a limit on the memory capacity, is it 8gb?

few possibilities

1) your thumbdrive is encrypted
2) your thumbdrive is contains multiple partition which xbox cannot regconise
3) your thumbdrive is formatted in a format unrecognizable by xbox
4) your thumbdrive is faulty
5) your xbox usb port is faulty
6) your xbox just doesn't like your thumbdrive
7) you actually stuck your thumb in instead of a usb drive tongue.gif

Added on June 28, 2010, 2:25 pmor you can try to update via online instead of going thru d thumbdrive

latest dashboard update contains the usb drive updates

modded console can try to update via thumbdrive at your own risk.

the thumbdrive you can go system storage to see if the drive is detected. it does not necessarily formatted as xbox will format it later for it's own format that windows will not recognise.

Go to your xbox settings. Then under memory you need to prepare the thumbdrive to be used as storage. Which means format the thumbdrive into xbox native file system. Cheers.

I just got the XBOX 360 modded console. I have installed 2 games (Fifa and Super Street Fighter) into the HDD and already taken up 13gb space. I plan to get the thumb drive 16gb available in the computer shop. Can all types of thumb drive example Kingston, pendrive, Kingmax can be use? When I got the thumb drive, just plug in to the USB port and install the game? Thanks for your help!
