hi all, first time posting in here.. please give me some guidance

my mom's friend offered her old saga for rm4500... i dunno what year, but my mum said that the number plate is BDSxxxx and it has manual tranny... the car has a clean engine bay, resprayed and has some kind of bodykits on it (haven't viewed the car though)

if my mum purchases it, it will be likely to be given to me... and i am a student, studying at a private college in mantin, negeri sembilan..

i am a bit hesitant about this car.. here are my questions:

-is the spareparts of this car cheap and widely available?
- how's the fuel economy? this is vital to me as i always went back to my hometown (KL) every week
-is it good for long distance driving?
-how's the maintenance??
