I am using cloth pad for unsure period of time (sure more than 1 year)
Yet it is still as good as new. Sometimes i even wash it when it gets dirty, and still, OK

I'm using Razer Mantis Control too. I'm using it for both FPS and RTS. Although the surface area might take some of your desk space sweat.gif

Lol that's not a mousepad,that's a cutting mat -.-

I think you'll find those at stores which sell graphic arts stuff.you know, art suppliers or whatever

And since they're cutting boards, they should be real durable laugh.gif

I have always preferred cloth pads which are more comfortable and they are kinder to mouse feet. I have the Everglide Titan and am very happy with it. I tried the Steelpad, but surface feels very cheap leh. No offence to anyone. I have seen hard pads wear out, but have not heard of cloth pads wearing out yet. More than a year on my Titan without any issues. biggrin.gif

depends on wat u want from the surface

basically the rule of thumb is
hard pads gives you better speed and probably accuracy but they wear out, the surface of the pad and they eat up your mouse feet

cloth pads are pretty good, but i PERSONALLY [*read opinion] find them abit slower,
but they don't eat up your mouse feet and actually prolongs their life, but the cloth surface does wear off [my friends mantis speed], but you probably won't notice it =/

plenty of good brands out there
razer, everglide, steelseries and func are the pretty well known, so u know where to start looking
