Been sometime since I shopped for a HDD, I read the thread and seems like Samsung F3 is worth the price?
The last time I bought a HDD was when the WD 640GB being popular.

Just installed Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB,
Did a quick CrystalMark benchmark,  versus my old WD 640GB,  Off I go to install OS on the new HDD  |

limhongwoon, I am also using a Samsung F3 1TB as my main drive at the moment. Don't remember when I bought it, but I think also 1 year or more already. More up time than yours, but still working fine.
 This is my another drive, old 80GB maxtor. Used when I'm downloading files etc. Seems like its gonna fail soon   |
