Sorry guys.. I am noob about hardisk.

Just need your advice and expertise guys, I want to buy hardisk which might be 3TB consist of 1 TB each.

3 hardisks. I don't want to but external as it might be expensive, thus i am planning to buy internal hardisk. What is the name of the casing for internal hardisk that is portable for me to bring any where?

Any suggestion for hardisk to buy and the casing. how much will it cost?

Hell, then is there any other way to run them on desktop? Don't think i'll get a SAS RAID card cause' the price was quite steep for me to get one

In that case... wouldn't it be a better choice to get a USB 3.0 dock + a USB 3.0 card (MSI star USB3 is only RM49).
You can get USB 3.0 docks for rather cheap these days, less than RM150 isn't impossible.

Anyone using the WD Caviar Blue 500GB (WD5000AAKS)? Or at least have experienced it before?

Want to get an affordable hard disk replacement, don't want to spend so much on the Caviar Black for now.

the performance is quite good,it is afterall a 500GB/Platter 7200RPM drive similar to the popular Spinpoint F3.
Runs cool too.

I'm now considering the 2 of them. Seems like a tough decision.

They are pretty much the same,though WD's RMA procedure is easier since you can send them the HDD and have it back within a fortnight

I tried the 320GB AAKS and its very good for office usage

i have the 640GB version, runs pretty cool, almost around the same temps as my caviar green. but it's faster

and its 7200rpm too.
unlike the snail alike green version I used it as storage only

One of my office is using it as OS disk. Run cool, pretty ok.

my case was this hdd sent to rma in 6 months time.

Guys, Recent,y I dint open my laptop for 7 days. AFter i open, the system say hardisk failed. but sometime i can access to the computer also. May i know what is the problem?thx

Sign of hard disk failure, do a backup and send to RMA if there's still warranty available otherwise just buy new hard disk.
If your laptop ever being dissect before, make sure the connector of the hard disk is firmly connected.

hello, i wanna buy an external hdd..but i have tight budget? any 1 can recomend me? thanks. i oni use for store movies, drama, songs...size..as big as possible..lol

How much your budget? Below RM200 should able to get 320GB, or maybe some cheaper 500GB model.
If you don't mind the size of the hard disk, you should be able to get 750GB or 1TB model. This is desktop size hard disk and it's quite tad heavy, less convenient for transportation.

yea..i have below RM200 only...what brand is good ah? Western Digital? Im aiming 500GB 1..any model that <RM200 can get it?

From my experience and some friends' usage, any brand is fine.
Even my Seagate Freeagent Go (almost 2 years old) is now having "unrecoverable sectors" problem, need to RMA.
