QUOTE(cannavaro @ Aug 2 2010, 08:44 PM) Sorry for being random, but is your friend a teacher? No he's not.Your teacher brings HDD to school? btw, you can get a 2.5" 500GB Transcend anti-shock external hdd for RM235 or thereabouts... Is that really good?I'm usually skeptical about "marketing claims" but Toshiba seems reliable. How about the likes of Seagate? |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 3 2010, 04:08 PM) Yeap, its a great deal. It says there "Expansion External Drive".Is this really an external HDD or just an expansion bay or something Considering that it is a 7200.12 Barracuda under that, it is a better deal than the WD Elements... if you're looking at speed alone. QUOTE(-kytz- @ Aug 3 2010, 05:14 PM) It says there "Expansion External Drive".Is this really an external HDD or just an expansion bay or something Its the name of that Seagate external HDD.Stupid name I know. So its always confusing going around to say "I want a Seagate expansion external drive". Most salesmen would just bring you the raptor or Go Flex version instead. By the way, has there been any news on new versions of the Intel X25-M and E series SSD? Long development cycles on SSDs show how complicated these things are...
