don't be disheartened... hahaha...

the good about the wd greens... they are super quiet and green (as in low power consumption) if you plan on saving the earth and mankind. the bad is that i'm on my third rma... and i didn't even get to run any torture tests on them yet!!! fortunately they come with 3 years warranty whistling.gif

No he's not.Your teacher brings HDD to school? biggrin.gif

Is that really good?I'm usually skeptical about "marketing claims" but Toshiba seems reliable. How about the likes of Seagate?

Yeap, its a great deal.
Considering that it is a 7200.12 Barracuda under that, it is a better deal than the WD Elements... if you're looking at speed alone.

Its the name of that Seagate external HDD.
Stupid name I know.

So its always confusing going around to say "I want a Seagate expansion external drive".
Most salesmen would just bring you the raptor or Go Flex version instead. doh.gif

By the way, has there been any news on new versions of the Intel X25-M and E series SSD? Long development cycles on SSDs show how complicated these things are...
