QUOTE(blackcsc @ Sep 7 2010, 12:24 PM) Oo, thanks for the info. BTW, do AMD have sumthing like i5 / i7 processors ? or AMD stick wif x4 / x6 n etc ?? Actually i did try to re-fitting it. but i used up all 4sata ports is stil the same sometimes. mayb i should jz backup the data and stop using 1 of the HDD want u meant by i5/i7 proc? actually both also is quad core.. unless the highend super expensive i7 for amd X4 = quad core X6 hexa core better backup before too late..

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 25 2010, 02:58 PM) Get the Hornettek Goliath USB 3. Slightmore expensive than the ESATA one. I'm using it and its awesome. I accidentally left my external HDD on for 2 days without realizing as I wasn't home (meaning no ceiling fan on, no aircond on too), came back and checked the temps was only at 36c. Samsung 2TB F3EG in it. i believe it's on idle.. and remain low temp.. will try looking for one.. where it's available? around how much?

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 26 2010, 01:47 PM) Yes its on idle. I live in a rather hot area, when it shines... the sun really, really, gets hot. You can find it in LYP. The last time I bought it, it was around RM179. Got it from Viewnet Hyperstore. ok tq.. will have a look if got time... btw samsung is normal <40c.. it's cool..

QUOTE(fariz @ Sep 28 2010, 10:46 AM) the F4 is a single platter single head drive. ar? 2TB 1platter? cannot be right.. should 3 platter as apposed of F3 4 platter, which i think generate more heat.. or any other factors contribute?

QUOTE(gto87 @ Oct 4 2010, 04:08 PM) I'm sorry for a noob question. But, i remember not long ago that some seller in garage sales informed me that Samsung F3 is faster than Velociraptor, is it true? Or just marketing gimmick? maybe by looking on this.. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/storage/2...f3-1tb-review/3

when talking about F3 and the EG.. seriously for normal usage i not found much different on the performance.. transfer alot of files between them seems ok..
so F4EG would be enough for me next..
