Can't wait for pricing for the 46" or 52" tongue.gif

The main thing is that they are promoting the fact that it covers a wider gamut than the HD 709 gamut. Thats the whole problem. Material for BD is encoded to meet the HD colour gamut, so decoding would have to be remapped. The reviews indicate that the colour gamut when calibrated is the same as advertised, so I am not sure how this is going to work out.

Also I seriously hope that Sharp starts to include greyscale/white balance and gamma controls as this is critical.

Only part that bugs me so far is the reflection from the glass.

If it's in the living room, etc. Place with alot of windows, the reflection off the glass might make viewing an issue. Although I haven't seen a unit yet to decide if that's a problem.

I read an article somewhere, it was discussing about the LCD products out there, some features on the tv are pure bs and have no effect on our eyes at all, and this QUATTRON feature was one of them. Google it and check it out

Added on June 27, 2010, 4:16 pmIn theory, all video content are only limited to 3 colors, RGB, there are no such video content with RGBY. So we have no use for this feature.
