After countless of BSODs & missing bootmgrs, i finally got my baby up and running without losing the OS or data, but unfortunately lost my dell recovery partition. The 14.65GB of space is now unallocated. Should i try reinstalling it back?

Added on August 17, 2010, 8:48 amOh, and apparently i now have an extra drive F, 39mb only... there's a 'diags' folder and several other up and system files. Is it safe to delete this partition?

It wasn't there before... Looks like a Dell diagnostics partition. If i don't remove it, what about removing the drive letter? I don't like it taking up my F tongue.gif

But the partition (which used to be dell's recovery partition) is unallocated already wor~ That means if something happen to my baby *touch wood* i won't be able to load the recovery tools without booting from CD?

I put mine to sleep most of the time. But last time a Dell tech came to fix my SXPS and she said that sleeping often will corrupt the HDD. Shut down is better. Any truth to that?

Mine had a tiny smudge (not dead pixel) between the thin plastic cover and the real screen. Got them to change the screen for me. The technician who came said that it's a factory defect. Some people even got hair between the plastic n the screen.

I realized that i no longer have issues with my lappy heating up. It is AMAZING. I can actually type comfortably for long periods of time with the SXPS on my lap, something that used to be impossible without having my lap thoroughly roasted smile.gif

I simply meant that i am now in Canada where its colder smile.gif I don't see how this voids the warranty, but i do have to send it back to M'sia, or at least to US if *touchwood* something happens to my lappy though...
