Malaysia has the best infrastructure in ASEAN, if not counting Singapore which is essentially a city state.

Malaysia dont have (or very, VERY rarely) any natural disaster.
Even current wars are non existent compared to big countries (not Singapore/Brunei) like Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc. |

Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar have terrorists.
We do have a small group, like those Jemaah Islamiyah. But our police crush 'em all quickly like ants. Heck, we even helped Singapore to capture their Mat Tak Selamat. |

No disaster! Look at Europe, Volcano eruption, earthquake, 4 season winter suffer scarves for food. Summer, food cannot grow hunt for food. Japan Tsunami, Earthquake. Of course they r better R&D for survivability. Malaysia and SEA? what to worry? No more petro? Food? Banana tree grow loads of bananas. Another contry do u see Mexico grow? no right? tropical place. again... |

QUOTE(Hidan @ Jun 25 2010, 02:46 AM) I mean ASEAN level. If you look at other cities in ASEAN except Singapore such as Bangkok (well, their rail network is expanding), Manila and Jakarta.....then you know what i am talking about. However, in terms of main airports.......Changi and Suvarnabhumi airports are ahead than KLIA in terms of routes and passenger numbers. If we look at national point of view rather than city-vs-city comparison...then you can see different stories. For example, mobile phone penetration rate in Malaysia is the highest in ASEAN except Singapore. If we look at 3G subscribers (well, these users spend more on data compared to just voice)....there are 6.5 million 3G subscribers, higher than any other ASEAN countries. This is not to say our infrastructure is good at world level, but compared to other ASEAN countries, except Singapore, it is certainly different story.
