I mean ASEAN level.

If you look at other cities in ASEAN except Singapore such as Bangkok (well, their rail network is expanding), Manila and Jakarta.....then you know what i am talking about.

However, in terms of main airports.......Changi and Suvarnabhumi airports are ahead than KLIA in terms of routes and passenger numbers.

If we look at national point of view rather than city-vs-city comparison...then you can see different stories.

For example, mobile phone penetration rate in Malaysia is the highest in ASEAN except Singapore.

If we look at 3G subscribers (well, these users spend more on data compared to just voice)....there are 6.5 million 3G subscribers, higher than any other ASEAN countries.

This is not to say our infrastructure is good at world level, but compared to other ASEAN countries, except Singapore, it is certainly different story.

its actually true for countries like indonesia or philippines who have been raped by 'irresponsible' colonials. malaysia and singapore is a tad lucky because of the british .

SEA should really consider to become one block with one set of laws. India and China will slaughter SEA if everything continues to be the same.

how can you decide what happened today is due to X% caused by colonials and Y% caused by the current people and that X>Y ?

the same slaughter might also be or is happening in malaysia........... the same political game where those with different ideology "jeopardize" the other
