HAhah.IMHO, how can two people be a couple before being good friends? Good frens means u know each other well and are close to each other.If cant be good frens how to become a couple.. But then again, perhaps the situation only applies to most of my friends.
But of course..thats only certain ppl.U can have many good/close/best friends but doesnt mean u'll end up dating all of them...and to say that guys and girls cant be good frens is ridiculous.As mentioned by many,guys prefer to confide certain things to their female frens rather than guy frens and its very very true based on wat i know abt most guys.I myself have both close guy and girl frens..more fun lah.haha
