Of course guys and girls can be good friends, I think its what you actually want it ( your relationship ) to become. Like if you're not thinking of anything else other than friendship then nothing will happen. I have a few good friends who I'm close with who are guys. I don't find anything difficult or impossible about that =D

for me, i try to have a very best friends (guy) when i was in secondary school... both of us are really very friendly until all my schoolmate say we looks like a couple hahaha.... but actually my best friends his abit (pondan) hahahaha thts impossible i will be his gf lolzzz

i think girls and guys can be good friend too..
although my bf not really like i talk with him as he felt that we are a bit too close and he might be jealous, but i still think that we are good friend.
i've stay away abit further from this friend nowadays as my bf doesn't really happy with it.
anyway, i used to yam cha and talk with this friend for few hours non-stop to talk about his problem, my problem and also gossip-ing.

but it's hard not to be romantic,either way around(if the guy don't feel it ,the girl most probably will)

And yes diff gender can become best/close frens. but sometimes our other half may not be so happy with it. That what make we and our opposite gender frens become apart
