I always thought yes to this question. But something happened....so I don't think so now.

for sure yes, so called "others" may misunderstand your friendship as something else, dun care about others thats what i think always

BTW, I also have few of good female friends, and they usually find me comforting coz i spend my time attending their problems (not all lah, what I can listen & help oni!)
It's good to have such friends, in a way I can understand people better, especially the opposite sex.
Maybe because I'm the only male sibling in family. haha~

hm....as for me....i do think dat guys can be gals best fren as they are easier to talk to...not to say that galz are hard to listen to u....but sumtimes the way a guy thinks is much more simpler....i do have a few best frens who are guys...n we've been frens quite a long time....

I'm more interested in knowing what happens at the time when 'good friends' cross the line?

One of the things that I keep an eye out for is, personal space. With strangers, i'll probably put them at arms length, friends closer, and lastly is the lover's space.

Would like to hear from girls on this one, do you get into your best guy friends' lover's only space (touching/very near distance)? for example, deliberate slow touch on his face, literally laying on him with your upper body while both of you were having a cup of tea? Not drunk

Or is it entirely possible for a girl to be so friendly that she crosses into the lovers only space? While totally thinking of him as a friend?

er.. nope. not for me. i still think there's should be a limit.. but some girls do that. actually depending one la.. some think its okay while some don't think so. so maybe the girl being that friendly is really only treating him as a friend.

I have a girl as a good friend. We can talk anything. We fool around with each other. I admit that sometimes the thought of sex comes to mind, but I'll just brush it aside and tell myself we are good friends. She's pretty too, but all I want is to be good friends, nothing more. We're practically like brother and sister

There's some truth in this, but it's not 100% clearcut. I have plenty of female friends. Do I find them attractive? Yes. Do I sometimes fantasize about them? Yes. Would I sleep with them? If they offered, sure.

But I don't actively hang out with them thinking "Wow, I really want to f*** her." Doesn't even occur to me at all! And it wouldn't even be considered unless "feelings" were brought up somehow. It's irrelevant.

See, I don't think there's anything wrong with having the occasional fantasy about a friend. After all, what goes on inside my head is inside my head, right? Besides, half half the fun of having female friends is the sexual tension.

I used to think that guy-girl friendships do exist until I found out that most of my guy friends secretly had feelings for me or wanted something deeper from/with me. My lesson? Guy-girl friendships are so overrated. However, there are those few decent and honest guys out there who really do want to be just your friend.

they want to be your friend because they don't find you attractive or sexually appealing to you in the first place. if they do find you attractive and sexually appealng, they will want to have sex with you. it is human nature.
