The AKG K99 is specifically designed for musician monitoring purposes.

There is a seller at garage sales selling it at a reasonable price.

Go for the AKG K99, it is really go for monitoring or recording purposes, it is really good. Many local studios are using it. I am using the K44 because of budget issues. You can find it at garage sales, search under AKG Professional Audio.

Hay I'm new here :'D
I want to get my first pair of headphones, but I'm not sure which.

All along I've been using the default Apple earphones and an old model Philips in-ear earphones.

1. I'm mainly going to use this to listen to music (pop, rock, orchestra, soundtrack), movies and games. I'm also going to use this with my iPod touch.

2. Few hours of usage, so the headphones shouldn't be too heavy. Comfortable.

3. Clarity and nice bass.

4. RM200~RM300 budget.

I tried on a Sony MDR XD200 before, the sound is quite clear IMO. It's just that when the volume is too loud, it kind of distorts the music? It's also a bit too bulky for my liking.
I'm not really experienced in this, so I'm not entirely sure.
Do suggest another pair that would give me more clarity and depth, thank you :'D

Give the AKG K321 a go. It does fulfill your needs on point 1, 2 and it is well within your budget!

Have you heard any of these headphones personally including the AKG K450 or are you recommending based on pricing alone?

But 450 reviews are pretty bad :/

For every item, there are good reviews, there are bad reviews, some people like it, some people don't. What is important is for you to test it out yourself. By the way, AKG as a brand has already won numerous awards in past 60 years including a Grammy for technical excellence. The K450, which has won the much sort after European Red-Dot Design award, an indicator of excellent design and high product quality. http://www.akg.com/personal/,tid,20,cid,496,_psmand,1.html

Here is a review by the high respectable CNet.de http://www.akg.com/personal/,tid,20,cid,505,_psmand,1.html
