Try Senn's HD201/202 or Sennheiser's PX100.

Review of Senn's HD202:

any recommendation for closed headphones for around 250?
listen to rock, pop, r&b...
i don't know many things about headphones, but the one im looking for is the one that can make the sounds like the real band is playing with me/beside me...

Get the grado sr60i. Grados headphones have forward soundstage and perform very well when it comes to rock. Or maybe pump ur budget up a little bit more and get the legendary Alessandro Ms1i. It will give u the in-your-face sound like what u are looking for  wink.gif

Oh, they are open-cans though. But worth to give them a try as I think they do fulfill ur requirement very much, except for the closed cans  tongue.gif

yes, i was eye-ing for Grado SR60i before, but then im afraid of the sound leakage...since i use it at home and at school occasionally...im afraid i might disturbed the other person who sit around me...

Yeah, it will leak alot. Anyway, it will look dumb if u bring a closed bulky headphones and use it in school library. Most probably ur friend will be laughing at u.
My advice is get the Grados and get another pair of IEMs for portable use.  laugh.gif
