Sennheiser IE 7 ... i have one .. the quality is really good..maybe some ppl may complain abt the way we wear it. its shape is a bit weird .. may not feel comfortable for some of us
*
I actually like the IE7 shape, it really fits well into the ear. IE7 has better fit than IE8, IE8 looks cooler tho xD

hey guys, I know this is an unfair comparison of sorts, but should I stretch my budget to get Shure SRH440 or settle for BeyerDynamic DT231? is the extra RM120+ worth it?

I really dislike 440 the first time i tested it. DT231 sounds much better to my ears. Better try them both before deciding.

hmm, I listen to a lot of heavy metal, but occasionally I listen to some more balanced stuff as well. what's the main aural difference between the two in terms of feel and experience?

yeah, I also have a feeling I might not be able to discern the difference between the two, then the extra price paid will be redundant. am also considering the SRH240. should probably drop by Jaben next week to try them out.

I prefer closed-back, because I'll be using them on campus and in transit mostly..

yeah, I'm okay with flat profile headphones, my current Shure I2Cs don't have much bass either and I'm pretty happy with that smile.gif apparently the SRH440 has some bass boost so it's all good I guess.

flat profile = no artificial sound colouring; listen to the music as it was recorded.. can be good, can be bad. usually monitor ear/headphones are flat.

Hi there, I need some help on getting a new pair of headphones.

I'll be using it for my laptop.
- budget: RM 200-ish at most.
- what type of usage : movies, music (mostly classical, Jpop/rock), skype.
- source : Mostly MP3, and some FLAC
- I'm looking for good noise cancellation and sound clarity. Bass doesn't have to be too strong.
- Needs to have a microphone, one that is preferably fold-away.
- Preferably circumaural in design, but mustn't be too bulky.
