hi guys need opinion.. which is the best for my suite

used with my mp3 player, sometimes to my computer
mainly used for music

between these two

grado sr60i or seinheiser hd202 or recommend me something else below rm300
*
If you listen to rock, the Grado SR60i is great for it. Though the sibilance and low comfort level can put off some people. Also if you're going portable, these can barely do it. They leak sound into and out of the headphone. They're turned into miniature speakers. Trust me, they are that bad at isolation. Sound wise, if you don't mind the slight sibilance, it does deserve the many awards it has received.
Haven't tried the HD202.

What about Beyer Dynamics DT770? What do you like? Bass?
*
some bass, but not too much. hahaha but my friend already has that soo yeah probably not that. i noticed though that it comes in 80ohm and 250ohm. what's the difference actually? (besides needing an amp)

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Apr 21 2011, 08:49 AM)
The award winning AKG K242HD which is the consumer version of the legendary K240 studio headphones.
*
wow those look nice. how much is that bro?

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Apr 21 2011, 02:01 PM)
Have a look at Denon D2000s. They are good all-rounder headphones.
*
interesting! will definetely have a look. biggrin.gif

thanks for the recommendations!
how bout cheap IEMs? wanna get for the girlfriend. hahah biggrin.gif

1. Budget less than rm150 maybe? lol
2. Will be using with iPhone, so preferrably comes with control talk (volume control and mic)
3. She listens to mainstream stuff. Err Taylor Swift, John Mayer and stuff like that.
4. Source would be mp3s (120-320kbps)
5. If can, looks nice and sounds.. well worth the price i guess lol. you know what actually LOOKS is the priority because i don't think she cares that much on SQ. but if can get both good also, then i can pull her in the audiophile world. biggrin.gif

Hahaha!  The NC neubie syndrome ...

I did tried bose before and i never encounter such problems. Anyways not keen of NC btw. Most iem are really good in doing noise isolation.

Hmm thinking of upgrading my headphones. Currently using Shure SRH440 but i may use those only for recording purposes. So i want a seperate one for just music listening.

1. Budget= 1k? Slightly more or less also can. Wanna see what options i have.
2. Will be using it on my laptop(possibly with a Wolfson DAC) or my iPod Nano(will probably upgrade to either Cowon J3 or Samsung Galaxy Player in the future) with Hippo Box+ amp.
3. Strictly for music listening.
4. I listen to a bit of everything. (Radiohead, Incubus, Far East Movement, David Guetta, Bring Me The Horizon, Kings of Leon etc)
4. For source, either FLAC or 320kbps mp3s.
5. Prefer closed back because i like isolation, but can look into open if the diff between SQ is big.
*
Maybe shure srh550dj? Same price as srh440.

- Mostly for music purposes on my iPod, i travel around long journeys on buses, planes, trains
- Mp3
- Trance/house music most of the time, but i also have R&B hip hop, rock, but mostly Trance and house music
- Headphones, i dun like earphones...i feel uncomfortable wearing earphones though, and also, i SWEAT a lot, so yea, that is an issue as well.
- My budget? well, i'm actually planning to get Beats Pro/Studio by Dr. Dre, but if there are any better suggestions or something cheaper, i might as well take the opinion and check it out?

the TMA is much better than the Beats, trust me. I was quite disappointed at the Beats actually. Had quite high hopes for it.

Agreed. But Marshall is quite known for their quality (for amps) so maybe the headphones are just as good? Go audition them first!

Yeah, I'm planning to check them out later at the music store, hopefully there are demo sets for me to test out, the problem here, stores tend not to have demo sets for people to try it on, they are afraid that people might steal it...lol
