Hi audiophiles,

I'm new to audio related accessories but I'm looking for a bulky headphone which I can use most of the time at home, possible noise cancellation, looking for those high end performance headphones that are really good and powerful. Good and comfortable cushion to rest on my ears as well.

Budget : RM500-RM700
Player : iPad
Music : GENERAL POP, ROCK AND BALLAD music (female solo ballads)
I want headphones that fully utilize audio experience... not used for gaming etc etc

I know beats is quite overrated but after trying solo HD I would say its not bad.. want those type of performance in my headphones (or better) for a rather good price of RM500-700.. Currently AT in favor.... tq for checking out my post

Hi,

Recommendation needed for headphones

Budget : RM700-1200
Source : Ipad, Iphone 4
Music : Pop, R&B, Acoustic, Rock, Techno etc.
I need headphones that offer good noise isolation. Noise canceling would be a nice feature to have as i will be using them in noisy environments (public areas, airplanes) Prefer over-ear but on ear are fine too. Portability is not an issue. I am currently leaning towards Dr. Dre Beats Studio so please recommend a few others to broaden my horizons. Thx

AIAIA TMA-1 or Audio Technica M50.
I have another one in mind popped out as I type this, Beyerdynamic DT770 or 880.

Read reviews on them, or audition at Jaben if you can. biggrin.gif

Need help in choosing my first real headphone. Please?

Will be using mainly on laptop, but must be suitable for iPod also.
Want full sized. (headband/around-ear, considering on-ear)
70% music, 25% games, 5% videos.
Listen to blues and rock songs with guitars, basses and drums. Want to hear individual instruments clearly, especially the bass and drums. Also listen to instrumental classical pieces. I don't listen to clubbing music.
Expecting a low end Sennheiser, but will consider other brands.
Budget around RM 150, but feel free to recommend more expensive ones if they suit me, incase I can get them cheap.

Please help, thanks!

Oh, I've forgotten that it's supra-aural design, maybe doesn't suit u since u are looking for a full size headphones. Anyway u can try it out, it is quite widely recommended in that price range. laugh.gif

For around RM100 give these a try. You can enquire with Mr Edifier on this forum.

Edifier Coolware Bud 260

Very comfortable to wear but one word of warning, needs long burn-in time before they start sounding sweet.

Budget: RM800 (for headphone only)
Usage: Primarily Music, then Gaming

For use at home only. Planning to get a sound card to go with it as well.

Need strong bass + clarity.

Edit: just went to IT fair, heard the sennheiser HD 598, and liked it, not sure whether there are better performing headphones at a better price
