I'm currently looking for a good high end headphones. I want like DJ big round pad. My budget is RM 100 - RM 150. My usage is to plug my iphone4 and also laptop. I often listen to Love and romantic songs and also disco songs. So I need a strong base and NON LEAK sound headphone. Recently, I saw theres one headphone which only cost RM 130 in One Utama. Which is green in colour, with the hulk picture not too bad. Can you all suggest me please ?

im looking for earphone. the current earphone i have is the Nike Sports earphone . I like the Nike white earphone but the ear bud just came off one by one and went missing . Than i listen to the Iphone earphone but the stuff kept felling off from my ear.

I really do not want to go through this hassle again . Im a rough user and also a coyote. Im not that guy who will take the time to roll the earphone up or store it nicely in the bag. I expect the earphone to be able to zip up quickly and store itself in a little compartment when  i need to put it back to whre it is.

Lastly, i love some bass but also love to listen to Piano or Orchestra Music. I wonder if there's any below this price RM 100
I just don't know why i don't trust Philips and Sony salesman everytime i walk into its concept store. I wonder why ? and i trust more lowyat members than anything.

You want bass? brows.gif
Try auditioning the Future Sonic Atrio at Jaben. brows.gif

Haven't heard them myself, but it has got the reputation for having massive impact, but great definition of bass.

i got 3 headphones in my mind. UE triplefi 10, sennheiser ie8 and monster turbine pro copper...

in between this 3 which sound the best in terms of bass and treble? thanks!
*
The Sennheiser IE8 is a bass monster, while the UE Triplefi 10 is a triple driver.
The most advanced of the three is the UE, with triple driver you get the best sound quality. I think details is what it will prevail in. You can audition it to see if it has the amount of bass you want, and treble detail. In general, balanced armature drivers tend to have slightly less bass. These tend to be analytical, so they are meant to produce what the music is intended to be. Maybe they don't have the amount of bass, but they can be very good bass, and with detail to boot. I'd say you get more for the money with these.

The IE8 has mixed reviews, some saying it is boomy, some say articulated, some say harsh. But your mileage may vary. From you choices in music, maybe you'd appreciate the extra oomph. biggrin.gif

I don't have anything to say about Monsters, I just avoid them generally. Don't ask why, maybe the pricing, maybe the "name". But I have read some pretty good things about them, especially the pro copper.

The better isolating ones with the most external noise rejection can make your music sound louder, so you can lower the volume but still hear your music well. So you lower your risk the better isolation you get, if you take advantage of that isolation propwerly.

You might wanna choose proper in-ear ones that has deep insertion, or closed(circumaural) headphones. For RM80 I dunno if you can ones with good isolation though, so lower your volume is still the best way. I'm guessing the IEM will be better at isolation slightly than closed headphones...for the price.

Go to a quiet environment if you find the external noises drown out your sound.

I'd take the Klipsch if I were you. I've tried the old Bose in ear and the sound quality, although a step up from the stock ones that comes with your phone, doesn't really justify the price. The new ones are supposed to be better, but I bet not by much, and they're still priced the same(if not more).

I dunno. Sony says they're for bass. Since deadboy 164 says he needs one for MV and music, with good bass.....In an instant that came into mind....it is well under RM100, at RM59.

And they look like gas masks! laugh.gif

Hey guys.
I'm thinking of having another IEM as my portable one. I want a contrasting sound to my DDM. Therefore, it has got to have a decent bass (enough to feel them), but more towards the bright side of things. Price is around RM300 +/- RM20. Oh and it has to be decently resilient, because I'd be using it for running.

What I have in mind are the RE0 and the Hippo VB. Dunno how tough the RE0 can be because reviews often comment on its slightly sub-par build quality. Any other suggestions?

The RE0 would be great. It however has quite little bass, quantity wise. The cable would do awesome as it won't harden with sweat but might break in due time (like all other cables).

Oh, the kind of answer I've been looking for. I won't wear them under my shirt in a running session though, just to be safe. biggrin.gif
As long as it has the bass quality, it should be fine.

EDIT: Hey, is the AKG K331 available for audition at the Karamunsing KK dealer? biggrin.gif

Hey there peeps.
I am looking for an alternative to the Hifiman RE0, to save budget. tongue.gif
Basically, I want something that has a smooth treble, with enough bass, but more towards having a bright sound sig. Budget is RM270, max. Headphone or IEM is welcomed(but more inclined towards IEM).

IEM for RM 200? not really looking for bass, but i like very detail, natural, almost "technical" sound.

I have a Soundmagic PL50. They have bass that is more into quality rather than quantity, good detail and quite revealing, small and comfortable, great for vocals. With them you get what you paid for I believe.
