Hay I'm new here :'D
I want to get my first pair of headphones, but I'm not sure which.

All along I've been using the default Apple earphones and an old model Philips in-ear earphones.

1. I'm mainly going to use this to listen to music (pop, rock, orchestra, soundtrack), movies and games. I'm also going to use this with my iPod touch.

2. Few hours of usage, so the headphones shouldn't be too heavy. Comfortable.

3. Clarity and nice bass.

4. RM200~RM300 budget.

I tried on a Sony MDR XD200 before, the sound is quite clear IMO. It's just that when the volume is too loud, it kind of distorts the music? It's also a bit too bulky for my liking.
I'm not really experienced in this, so I'm not entirely sure.
Do suggest another pair that would give me more clarity and depth, thank you :'D
*
comfy and bass?

try Audio Technica AD300 ( extremely comfy ) or A300 ( for bass )

Okay so I read up a little about AD300, and it seems that they're open cans.
I read somewhere that there is significant sound leakage, is it true? I wouldn't want to bother other people when I'm listening to my music xD;

FC700 caught my eye too, it seems like a lot of you here recommended these along with M30.
Sound-wise though, which one would be better?
@moniqee and rxy, thank you very much :'D!
@fatty san, I want a pair of headphones, not earphones, but thank you though xD
*
u wan closed-can ar?

yeah open-cans have sound leakage... so u need close-can for noise isolation.

fc700 is great for portable and style... =) and i would recommend M30 ( if u intend to use it at home... coz it's bulky and not portable but a great headphone to start )

if u are into stylish headphone... u can check out SQ5, SJ3, FW3, FW5, ES5, ES55, ES7 ( these are all portable and stylish headphone model of audio technica )

but if u are into M30 types... u can also check out T22 ( really cheap like RM60-80 ) , T200 ( new model - so i'm not sure about the SQ )

Hello all
I want to get a pair of headphones for my laptop, to use mainly for games and movies
I would like them to be circumaural, closed, and portable/foldable so I can stow them in my backpack. I also will use them with my guitar amp.
Budget is approx RM350, and hopefully something which can be obtained in KL/PJ.

Appreciate all the replies, thanks in advance smile.gif

Audio Technica FC700 / SQ5 / FW3 / FW5 / ES55 / WS70 / ON3 / SJ3

Is the sound leakage drastic? If it's clearly audible by others when I'm listening to like 50% the volume then it's really serious D:

They all look so great! Especially ES7, it looks so stylish..

Thank you again for the suggestions, I will check them out!
*
yeah... that's y i said got sound leakage problem...

yeah es7 is nice... but it's pretty expensive as well... u can check out ES55 ( around the same stylish but without the mirror finishing... )

Thanks for the suggestions so far..
After researching, I am thinking of one of the following:
- ATH M-50
- Sony MDR-7506
- Sony MDR-V6
- Shure SRH440
- Sennheiser HD280Pro

Problem is, where can I actually buy one these things? tongue.gif I'd hate to import from US and pay shipping fee.

I am especially keen on the ATH M-50

Please, any suggestions would be appreciated!
*
with ur budget of RM350... it's kinda impossible to get M50... try M30 instead... u can get that from Jaben / Akabane@Dr.Jackal n etc...

flat profile = no artificial sound colouring; listen to the music as it was recorded.. can be good, can be bad. usually monitor ear/headphones are flat.

Hi guys, few years didn't follow up with the latest stuff here... Can someone recommend me earphone or headphone below RM100? Purpose - all rounder, preferably earbuds or light headphone. May use sometimes for gym.

I used to have a yuin PK3 and also koss ksc75 and also still using my modded MS-1 but quite rarely use nowadays though..

Recently I lost the PK3 cry.gif and also ksc75 died on me few months back (left side no sound). Does the koss remains legendary for headphones below rm100? laugh.gif

can try Hippo Safari ( RM80 ) or Audio Technica ON3 ( get from jaben... )

1) Budget - RM500 + or - RM100
2) Using it on PC for "Movie and Music" (NO GAMING)
3) for MP3, like to listen to POP music or music with bass.
4) Comfortable Headphone - Closed or Open with , please recommend
5) Brand - Bose, AKG, Grado or please recommend
6) Currently Using Sennheiser HD202 (not satisfied enough for me)

I haven't of Audio technica before this (sorry i'm not that tech savvy sad.gif) but i'm interested.
What are the price range of the above models and pros/cons of each?
And more importantly, i live in klang valley, where can I get them? (haven't seen them at pc shops before...)

thanks much wink.gif
*
if u are going for all rounder then M30 is the best bet... Audio Technica is a japan brand... =)
u can get them anywhere... Audio Technica alot of shops selling them recently... especially on lowyat forum... or u can go to Jaben Malaysia at Subang Jaya ( if you go there... go more poison for you... as you can audition the headphone before buying... )
